Disappearing Inventory?

My boyfriends really upset now because this has happened to him twice with his best gear. The first time he was laying in his bed and offline yet somehow hes the only one who died (while offline) and all his stuff his good armor and gear decayed… Then just today his stuff in his inventory itself had disappeared and apperantly decayed… He lost his legendary sword that did 103 damage, legendary spear and some odds and ends things… Why? And can he get his stuff back? Because that sword is an incredibly rare item you get for fighting the bosses and using the skeleton keys…

Is it possible that they got heatstroke or frostbite while sleeping and died while offline? I know that I’ve seen that happen to some folks on my server before.

While I don’t think it’■■■■■ PS4 yet, I do know that the latest patch on PC really messed up thermal values and this has happened to several folks since. It may be best practice to start storing everything in chests and the going to sleep naked because unless you’re on a private server with a sympathetic admin, then there’s no way to get those items back. :frowning:
