Display issues with thralls in the field

Hello,

I’m having a problem with the display of thralls in the terrain. In the personal menu, where you can view the thralls in the terrain, I’ve selected a few thralls highlighted in grey. They appear on the map, but I can’t find any of the selected thralls in the terrain.

Some thralls are carrying items that I’d like to add to my inventory and don’t want to lose.

How can I get hold of the thralls again?

a mí me ha pasado varias veces y es porque mis esclavos estaban bajo el suelo. Cuando ha sido así, me he ido a la posición del mapa donde marca que están, y los he buscado agachado, y a veces, te aparece el nombre o algo que puedas seleccionar para mandarles que te sigan. Ánimo, sino, te tocará recuperarlos desnudos. Al menos así, no pierdes los esclavos.

This has happened to me several times, and it’s because my slaves were underground. When that’s been the case, I go to the location on the map where it shows them, and I look for them while crouching. Sometimes, their name appears, or something you can select to send them following you. Good luck, otherwise, you’ll have to retrieve them naked. At least that way, you don’t lose the slaves.

There are two possibilities:

  • Sometimes, the location doesn’t update properly. That usually happens when you die with thralls following you, or if you teleport around a lot with the Transportary Stones. Teleporting, relogging and waiting fix that problem eventually, just give it time.
  • More often, thralls fall through the floor. If you are playing single player or have admin privileges, you can find them with the Ghost Mode in the Admin panel: Activate Ghost Mode, fly through the floor, and faaaar below the ground, you should find them. May take some time, but they are there somewhere. If you play on an official server, you’re out of luck, sadly, and will have to use the “Rescue” option, loosing their equipment.

It’s one of the most annoying bugs in Conan Exiles, and if that helps: You’re not the only one frustrated by that.

I’ve found my own solution to the problem. I removed the mat I’d laid out in that area. The thralls then gradually returned to the home base on their own.

While not the same bug I think there’s some overlap here: Bug: Flypaper foundation
