Do Necro pets benefit from any player character stats?

Are feats, Curse of Pain, Frenzy, Walk With Death, and ally buffs the only things that boost pet DPS, or can your character’s stats transfer? If zero transfer occurs, pet necros seem like they might well want to build tanky gear, given the low spell dps.

Also: does reducing pet aggro make PVE enemies more likely to attk the Necro? Obviously, in PVP everyone runs right at you, but does pet aggro translate to boss aggro on the necro themselves, or can not-feating pet aggro reduction assist the use of Frenzy in keeping mobs off you and focused on your pets?.

I know over in the General section of the feats for Necro there’s one to increase Pet aggro, but generally unless the Pet aggro is insanely high mobs will always come after you.

Your magic damage will also increase your pet’s damage.

And small amount of your crit chance will be also inherited.

If you’re talking about Silence of the Dead, It decreases the amount of hate delivered to you. (Hate generated by pets will be yours)

Ah, OK; got it. TY TY!

I was worried decreasing pet aggro meant mobs would ignore Frenzy-buffed pets, so still attack me. Soothing Glamour perk and Netherworld Deception spell were things I was thinking of. Demo has ability to shrink pet, too, tho their pet is mostly useless except as a weak buff.

Good to hear MD applies to pets (EDIT: does that include melee pets, BTW?), as it allows mage gear to still be relevant, even if having to run more than cast. I had thought pet nec might be more hybrid build, and it certainly is slower than demo (my demo still lvling, so that may change), so seems to require a hell of a lot more tankiness.

I see Hit Chance applies to spells, according to FC release notes, so it is useful; not sure if it applies to pets hitting, or if they are just counted as an automatic DOT as long as they remain within range of target.

Honestly, one of the most frustrating aspects of AoC (besides what lag does to planning moves), is the near-total lack of clarity as to what things do, unless someone makes an unofficial guide that somehow survives over a decade (HenryX and AoC>TV, mainly). Am dismayed most old pages on AoC are long gone. Been away from the game a decade, so it has been hard remembering stuff from so long ago.
