Dune doesn’t have a forum yet because it hasn’t been released, you’ll have to go to the discord, you find a dozen or so funcom reps there, none here.

I may be completely wrong as I don’t follow Dune but my understanding is that on official servers only the deep desert will have pvp enabled. The deep desert being the best place to harvest rare resources and it resets once per week with everything in it being randomized each time. But there will be an area where said resources can be gotten without pvp, they’ll just be more scarce.
To complicate things private servers will exist as part of the whole server network. Meaning someone can create a private instance of what I assume is the starting zone, Haga Basin, and enable pvp there in that particular instance. How easy it might be to accidentally wander into such an instance I can’t say.

I think you missed the PRIVATE server part.
You can’t ‘accidentally’ wander into their HB map unless you have access to it.
Feel free to explain how it works to the op. They’re the one that cares.
