Dying of thirst on log in

Playing on an official server for PS4

5/12 I logged off about 11pm EST. Upon logging back in 5/13 around 7pm my character was standing naked in the desert and instantly began to die of thirst which killed me promptly.

When I returned to where I had logged off there was no corpse waiting for me and thus all my gear was gone.

I then checked the other two servers(also official) I had played on 5/12 and those characters had the same issue when I logged in.

Also in an unrelated issue, it seems around dusk/dawn the game world becomes extremely choppy for a couple of minutes which makes it impossible to play.

I’m on a PS4 Pro so I didn’t expect those kinds of issues.

I am not sure but I think when you close the app trough the Playstation menu your character will still be in the server.
I always exit the server trough the in game menu and then I close the game.
Not sure if this is the case for you ofcourse but it is just a tought.
