Lmao!!! Good stuff. ![]()
@BigDave I was being constructive… it wasn’t insulting to any individual, but to a way of thinking…
If anyone thinks their life is ruined because a game or maybe that their happiness comes from an external source… then something is wrong…
And yes, I also paid good money for the game…
My point is that people have expressed their opinion many times… to the point of ‘yawn, not again’
I used to have a job assembling 386’s and up…
I was dang good at it and quick… but when my boss was looking over my shoulder, it added unintentional pressure that was counter productive…
Studies have proven if you tell a creature (human, animal and even plants) that they suck, they actually start performing worse…
They stop caring, coz what’s the point…
Sure Funcom has given us a bugged game… fortunately my bugs are minimal. Maybe because I play casual and don’t use mods, maybe because I started playing offline solo… all irrelevant to the issue…
If I have an issue with a company or product, i’ll let them know and choose another product… I won’t stick around for months whining…
Sorry that I’m an Aussie and grew up with “she’ll be right mate, whenever”
Only if your name is Forest Gump… lol
I did give other options…
Personally I wouldn’t want to walk across the US, unless it was following a pickup/Ute with a 60+” screen hooked up to some amazing games with a wireless controller… even then they’d have to pay me good money…
People get annoyed when they promise a date for a patch and it doesn’t work out. I get annoyed not being kept up-to-date on what’s going on.
They are in a perpetual lose/lose situation =P
I’m not publicly complaining though. I just check out this forum way to much recently.
Meh… I live up to my word, just bought subnautica…
Geez dudes I have to wait 2 hours for it to download… not happy!!!
Life sucks… games suck, I mean like dude, what’s wrong with these companies…
I’m not liking the amount of flagged posts here…
None of them all that offensive…
thus I question the concept of allowing forum members to censor content they don’t agree with, but are unable to have a valid argument against…
I think you’re missing something. Time isn’t the issue. Patches take time, everyone knows that. People are more than willing to wait months for a patch that’s been announced. Nor is it the delays. Stuff happens. Things don’t work out and you have to alter your plans to account for it.
It’s the repetition of delays that’s really getting under people’s skin.
It’s one thing to say “Oh, sorry guys, we can’t go to the beach today. But don’t worry, we’ll go tomorrow.” It’s another to say it day after day after day after day, leaving everyone standing around in their bathing suits holding beach balls for weeks. That’s when it gets annoying.
Yeah Glurin, I did mention that…
still, omg here I go… i’m Not religious… but I love quoting the dude…
Let he who is free of sin cast the first stone…
I don’t know what people really expect here. How often would you like Funcom to come out and tell you “Sorry, guys, nothing new today.”? Especially since the inevitable crowd response is not “Okay, thanks for keeping us informed” but rather “But you promised! How could you do this to us?”
How many new threads about Funcom’s inadequate communication do we need, considering that no matter what they tell us (or if they tell us nothing) people are going to be dissatisfied?
I mean, your concerns are valid. Your opinions are valid. I want to know the state of the updates as much as you guys do. But the indisputable fact is, these threads will serve only to spread negativity - negativity towards Funcom because of their apparent lack of communication, negativity towards people who blame Funcom for said lack of communication, and negativity towards “fanboys” who tell the complainers to stop complaining.
I understand that people need a channel to vent their anger and frustration, but other people - even people on the Internet - are a poor channel for that. All it leads to is more anger and frustration, and that leads to the Dark Side.
Sure, why not.
Some of you have been making ‘this game sucks’ posts for over a year. Not "hey when’s this going to be fixed’ or ‘hey this is broke’. Nor are you all doing it in the proper sections.
Every issue I’ve personally reported has been either 1. Worked on and fixed. or is 2. Is on their tracker being marked as in the process of being fixed. What makes me so special in that regard? I post constructively, I post in the proper section using the proper format for a bug report.
If you all were doing the same, you wouldn’t have taken my post personally. I’m sure as hell not calling people trolls who do similar posts as I do in order to get things fixed. And apparently the amount of removed posts and bans some of you are admitting getting is proof in the pudding.
It’s called freedom of speech…that’s a thing in most developed countries.
Funcom is not a government, it is a private entity. Just as you have dominion over your home, they have dominion over their property. If someone came into your property and derided you or your family, you would not only have the right to remove them from said property, but would be socially expected to. This is why they remove posts with profanity, this is why they remove posts that are non-constructive, and this is why if they so chose to do could remove posts for whatever reason else they deem fit. But if you believe your rights are being violated, feel free to file a complaint with whatever courts that protect your rights on the subject. If it goes anywhere, we’ll hear about it on the news. Though I doubt you’ll go there.
Developer Rules:
Thou shalt not ever make a set date (that cannot be easily shifted without p-ing off your customers).
Thou shalt not panic-react to reported issues (that do not include all platforms unless they have completely broken the game).
Thou shalt not take any ideas and suggestions outside of what your creative department and programmers state can be done (whilst telling customers that they are great ideas).
Thou shalt not panic when customers threaten to hold their collective breath until what has been demanded is done.
Thou shalt not take negative comments to heart (as they are subjective and will make you want to make laptop go frisbee).
Thou shalt focus on the positives and not on the negatives (unless the negatives are making the game non-functional)
Funcom pleas wake up we lost 1200 players in 30 days cant you see what you are doing is wrong ?
Month Last 30 Days
Avg. Players 4,706.8
Gain **-**1,193.2
% Gain -20.22%
What are they doing wrong?
Is not updating the game with a broken patch wrong?
Is it wrong that they’re not telling us when the update will be released when they can’t promise its delivery?
Is it wrong that they released the game even when it still had some bugs in it? (Well, yes, but everyone does that, and it’s a bit too late for that now.)
We know this delay is upsetting people. Funcom knows this delay is upsetting people. Telling them to “wake up” is just another example of the negativity I was talking about in my earlier post.
EDIT: Actually, if you look at the chart beyond 30 days and see the entire history, the “lost players” are pretty normal fluctuation in the grand scheme of things. People come and go. If you look at just the last numbers in any statistical chart, you’ll miss seeing the trends.
I’ll tell you what’s wrong.
They’ve broken exping (and maybe something else) with some previous patch making this game unplayable for many people. They didn’t repair it ASAP (maybe quick’n’dirty as a temporary measure) but decided to revamp all game mechanics instead. They thought it will be easy… but it is too long. Players loose patience with each delay. They should repair it on the run and after that work on their great and brilliant patch for months - nobody would say a word against it if this game worked. But it does not.
In other words, they should break something else in the game, probably something unexpected, in order to fix one thing.
No thanks. Temporary fixes and “repairs on the run” will only lead to even greater disasters in the long run.
They do nothing that is the problem since December bug update they did not fix the DLC and they did nothing
Maybe is time they do something instead of sweet talk us out of bugs on forum
If we want to play other game we will not buy this one. We buy this game to play it (this game is not free to play to tell us to play something ells, do not mistake a pay game with a free one) As long as i pay i want to play you have no right to tell us to play other game. You are going to far. if you buy a car and is not working the shop will tell you go drive other car ? (is the same think this is a product i pay and i want to use it as was advertise)
If you can’t keep a promised release date (of whatsoever) you need to tell your customer. The situation is already bad, but it gets worse, if you keep your customer in the dark.
Also it is not the customer’s fault, that the game was released unfinished and bugged. If you take your game out of early access and sell it for the full, regular price, what are customers going to expect?
Buy all means the Conan Exile community was more then patience we all post bugs and wait quiet for fix and did not rage on forum and we create nice youtube videos and cool twitch . We are done they have exceeded the limit of common sense One can take so much…Since May 8, 2018 we wait and i can show you exploits and bugs dated to May 8, 2018
Now if you take a second and think shod we keep quiet ? after we spend 70 Euro ? Where is the common sense ? Who is unintelligible?
We are ? or Funcom ?
When I used to work in the service industry (both fast food and cinema back in college), I never took customers seriously who complained everytime they came in and always came back week after week for months. In fact I found out when you took a hard line with them, they’d usually apologize and stopped complaining so much.
There’s nothing in the dark here. They planned to release a patch. Couldn’t make it, explained why, and its now delayed until the game breaking bug is fixed which has to do with the building system. I doubt you all would even understand any additional info they could even give on the subject.
I mean if the general complaining community was savvy enough, they’d accept the information given. They’re not, this thread proves that. So why should they bother with giving information in coding and programming terminology you’re simply not going to comprehend and complain about anyway?
Like I said before, they should squelch the topic until its resolved and clean things up.
mate you do not understand WE DO NOT NEED ALL THAT NOW
Servers are being wipe as we speak with huge exploits DOOP of items Gods the GAME CANOT BE PLAY IN PVP Offical servers since December, Do you understand the problem ? What you build today it will be gone buy the night cause of exploits in game.
