Easy way to destroy all structures you've built on an official server?

I’ve left an official Exiled Lands server and restarted on an official Siptah server and plan to stay here for the rest of my journeys. Meanwhile, I’d love to clean up the build I started and the two starting bases I left behind. Is there an easy way to do that? I am the only person left in my clan, if I leave the clan will that do it? Do I have to just wait out the decay timer or is there a quicker way? I like to clean up after myself but doing a Remove on every single piece is unreasonable! Thanks for any suggestions.

Short of getting banned, no I don’t think there’s an easy way. Just let it decay. That being said, I gotta ask why you would leave Exiled Lands for good in favor of Siptah? Siptah is nice and all, but the map gets a bit boring after a bit and there’s been no major plot related updates to it for a long time. All the Ages get dealt with on EL first and possibly ONLY on EL. If you insist on calling it quits for now, I recommend changing your stats to max expertise and body vaulting as much valuable stuff as you can carry (rare legendary items, crafter thralls, special materials, etc.). Then find a location someone can’t build over and keeps you out of harm’s way. I recommend a tall building in sepermeru. The reason I say you should try doing this is because you may find yourself getting bored. At least that way you can have stuff to get your started again. You don’t lose your level or recipes, so the character is worth keeping.

Or do what I do… I have a character and base on each server. I go back and forth, just refreshing the one I’m taking a break from until I get back to it. Currently, my break is from siptah.

Gee, that’s disappointing to hear that Siptah is going to be boring. TBH, we’ve started and re-started on EL enough times that we didn’t want to do that again and we’ve never been on Siptah so we were looking for something new. Plus I understood that the best gear in the game comes from there. And I have the expansion. I don’t know, we really just wanted a new experience, even though I understand that there’s a lot to EL we have yet to see.

I think we were really turned off at how built up it was everywhere. It’s refreshing to see the gorgeous trees and lush areas, pristine and build-free in many good spots. We found a wonderful spot to build on and are having a good time finding plentiful resources.

It may get old and it may get boring, but until then we’re going to enjoy as much of it as we can.

You can just use the construction hammer :man_shrugging: it can demolish even a giant castle in under a minute :stuck_out_tongue:
Aim for the base of it… anything on top of it that gets destroyed also refunds the materials. So all you really have to do is click through the foundations you have.

Ooo great tip!

Yup… and I can’t stress enough: body vault the best stuff. He may find himself back in EL sooner or later. It’s better to have a bit start with than nothing at all. Worse case scenario, he quits it for good and never uses the stuff… no harm covering your bases.

There’s a mode in the construction hammer specifically designed to dismantle objects. I don’t know how it is on pc, but on console you keep r1 pressed until the object becomes red. Then, each piece you click is dismantled. Start from the bottom and everything that is above will crumble. It’s very fast.

If I know I’m leaving a server I hold onto my bench thralls and popcorn everything else by deleting the foundations.

If I’m feeling spicy I’ll just recreate my character and reset the game. It’ll move your base to no owner so that it can be looted.

I’ve left a server recently; I’m starting from scratch on another server, and I decided this time to just take the doors off and let it decay so someone else can use the mats. My only regrets were not being able to broadcast that it was free for the taking and that they couldn’t take the thralls.

Thanks for all the input. The bottom line is that for me, restarting is always fun, I love the leveling journey. Call me crazy, call me a pathological grinder, but the fact is that I regularly nuke my computer and restart with a pristine build, and in virtually every game I’ve ever played (especially builders), I regularly trash everything and start over, each time improving my builds and my construction based on learned experience. It’s how I like to play, and I’ve left many, many highly valued things behind in worlds once occupied.

Yes, I will return to EL, it’s inevitable. But I guarantee you, it will be my joy and preference to start from scratch with no thralls, no mats, no land claims, nothing other than a vision, new ambitions, and a lot of energy!

Thanks guys, appreciate all the suggestions.

Hey guys, just a shout out to Harperson, who follows all my posts and downvotes every single one of them. It turns out that, not only does the game have Followers, so do the Forums, and I’ve got my one of my own!

Harperson does that to pretty much every topic. I don’t know if Harperson intends them to be a “downvote” or not, but they do not count as such. As far as the forum is concerned, all reactions are likes.

Ah well in that case I will thank him for the likes!

Do not worry, that is just the way he expresses himself.
I came to the conclusion that he rates with the reverse smile the posts he agrees with or is interested in, and does not put any smiley to the posts he is indifferent to.
The reverse smile face is like his signature.
