Odd one, but since the last update (although possibly earlier) elevators won’t build more than two floors high. In a previous game I had an elevator to the Tower of Bats so I know height wasn’t an issue, but this game have only just got round to elevators but can’t build them higher than two storeys and frankly that’s what stairs are for… my base built on a rock spire needs an elevator.
