Elevator launched my friend to his death

My friend was riding our elevator right next to me and got launched so far into the sky that it unlocked the achievement for him and died. Our elevator is located near the breach but it’s showing his loot near the jungle. His death screen, where you choose your respawn point, showed his dead body in the sky. The event log doesn’t show that he even died or that his look has decayed.

Steps on how to reproduce issue:

  1. Ride elevator
  2. Get thrown into the sky
  3. Die

I vote that if this is a location-specific bug, that it not be fixed. Let it be the most delightful Easter Egg in the game, second only to Neebs & crew trapped in a ruin. It’s right up there with getting clubbed by a giant in Skyrim & joining the Tamriel Space Program.

Would you be able to share a screenshot of where the elevator is currently positioned?

Were both your characters standing still and close to one another while riding the elevator?
