Epic Bonus Not Given?

Game mode: [Online private]
Type of issue: [Bug]
Server type: [PvE]
Region: [North America]

[Epic Guardian armor (part of the Derketo DLC) does not seem to grant +10 Strength as advertised on the wiki. Only +5 strength bonus like the regular armor set.]

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Craft Epic Guardian armor
  2. Put on Epic Guardian armor
  3. Notice the attribute bonus stays at +5 (no increase)
  4. Be disappointed (either the game is functioning properly and the wiki is wrong, or the wiki is right and the game is not functioning properly)

Are you using a named thrall?
They changed the way att bonuses work. It takes a named to get the max (+10 in this case). the atts go from +5 thru +10 on most armors based on no thrall thru named. Thier are a few special armors that gicmve even higher totals than +10 with named.

No, I was trying to put it on my character. Did they change that, too?

Sorry I mean named armorer crafter in the station. Not follower. my bad.

So the strength bonus is dependent on the thrall that crafts it? Not the station itself?

Sort of. You need to use improved or better station to see the epic recipes. From there put in a armorer…named will give you the max +? atts for the armor pieces crafting with some bumps in durability, rating, and can’t remember 3rd. Depending on the icon you will get more bump on 1 of those as well…shield I believe does most rating bump.

That worked! Thanks for the details on how they all work together.

by rating I mean armor value.

Works like that for blacksmith as far as basic stuff…damage, armor pen, and durability. Carpenters for bows work like that as well. Neither affects the weapons att perks though.
