At least in single player (PC), I found if I cloth my character from the chest (click on armour piece from the chest inventory directly to the character) with the first piece I get a fatal error and the game crashes to desk top. Once reload, the remaining pieces slips on her with no trouble. This also happens from the admin panel.

No mods… never play with them.
I’m unable to reproduce. You may want to try on a new test save, along with verification of testlive files.
This could also be related to a specific armor piece, in which case, specify armor piece you are able to reproduce the crash.

The pieces were the DT legs, from a chest and Stygian med helm, from admin panel. But I do believe I think it was your idea of the files, though I did not do any verification, I have not crashed again. I figure since it was a saved game from the main game copied and pasted to the test live directory which created the problem. Once the saved game was ‘converted’ for lack of better words, to the new files in test live the saved game in test live worked with out that fatal error
