Error Code : (CE-34878-0) With Single Player Co-op

Me and my brother both got the game with our PS Plus subscription and are (Were) loving it. We spent the past month playing together on a Single Player Co-op server. Then about a week ago, after a random update, he would keep getting booted out of the game with the error ((CE-34878-0)). He was able to join back in, but every 10-15 min, he would get kicked out.

We quit that session and the next night we started up again, but this time, he couldn’t even log in. During the load in process, it would freeze, crash and present the error code. Over and over and over. Over the past week, he keeps getting the same error.

Went online to find sources and answers and this seems to be a issue for years now with a few answers, but none of them are a guaranteed way to work. What worked for one person, you would find didn’t work for someone else. Deleting the game, reinstalling, rebuilding the data base, up to date patches, reformatting the PS4 HDD.

The only thing that seemed to be consistent is that save file. The save file would get “corrupted” I guess and make that save useless which means we have to keep restarting the game, losing over a months worth of game play and starting over again and again.

We keep hoping that with the next update that it will somehow get patched/fixed and both Funcom and Sony passing on the blame to each other. Short of replacing the PS4’s themselves, I don’t know what else to do.

What a great game and to have it all go into the bin like that is more than disappointing. I mean, we were excited about finishing the game, so we could purchase the DLC and keep exploring.

But now we are stuck with a game that doesn’t work.

I’ve searched and read the past forums, lots of try to fixes, but no actual response from the devs. Does anyone there have any hard answers for me?

Tried Again last night, same thing. Brother trys to join, just as it looks like its going to succeed, freezes, crashes followed by error code. (Sadness)

Please send the crash report through the PS dashboard once prompted so our team can look into it.

Oh, that has been done every single time, lol. So you should have been getting each and every crash report sent over the past 2 weeks.

So last night, with over 50 hours put into a co-op experience and the other not being able to join. We said, F-this and started a new single player co-op for the second time.

And this new game, my brother was able to join. So here we are, level 1 down from 40, all of our thrawls gone, all of our pets gone, all of our weapons gone, all of our items gone, all of our buildings gone, All the grinding for resources GONE! Everything we worked at for over 50 hours gone.

This is so sad and disappointing, cause we were loving the game, the exploring, leveling up, building, all of it. Only to lose it all because of a error.

So here we are, starting it all over again, and kinda bummed out with the prospects that we have to do it all over again, so we said, “to hell with it”…we are going to cheat and just give ourselves everything, and raise our XP gain, etc. But we couldn’t even do that, because since the latest release, nothing I enter into the admin commands and settings stick.

Holy hell guys, I mean come on. You have a great game on your hands, one we fully want to support and your making this extremely hard.

We’re sorry for these frustrating issues. Our team is working on a few additional fixes for crashes. The admin panel does not disable trophies so feel free to restore any lost items or thralls, and make sure to keep a recent backup of your save in an external storage should any issue arise. These are just a few temporary workaround until our team can work on additional stability patches.

Having the same issue. Started 3-4 days ago with random crashing in co-op with the mentioned error code. Now I can’t even load the game, it goes nearly all the way and then crashes just before the loading completes. Well over 100 hours played, hope it’s not all gone!
