Event log missing (Totally blank)

My event log on Official server EU #1099 is totally blank, not even the server start message shows up. It have been a problem sense the second pet patch I believe.

If I log in to another official server it seems to be working fine. Is there any logs or something my client side I can try to delete to reset the log or something.

Help would be much appreciated sine its a PVP server with a fair bit of raiding going on.

That raiding is the reason - your log in the database is very long. It takes a while to load first time and while new entries are generated - this loading also makes you lag out.

Possibly, but not always true. Some of my clan mates have theirs load instantly, while mine, (I had to reinstall the game last week) I left it open for 10 minutes and nothing happened.

Yeah, same with our guys.But we tested a bit further and at least out guys could confirm that they lag out when the loading takes a longer time.It is reproducable for us - must not be true in any case though.

For sure, event-log has big issues right now.

I could you pass mine, but you wouldn’t like it ! :smile: It’s filled with trash, each fish i retrieved, and it miss all important stuff, like kills and such. A real pleasure !
And of course, so endless logs create lag.

But like said, they seems reworking it right now, so let’s hope there will be a fix, for those with empty log, and for those with the endless thingy.

The event log has issues at the moment, yes.
It’s linked to the performance issues we are also seeing and are working on it.

I’ve let it look for the eventlog for idk… 10 minutes? No change.
Sometimes it loads instantly though too.
(Maybe its about too many people looking it up at the same time?)

They are not endless. I think it’s 100 entries or something like that? I’ve been asking if there is a difference how the old log was generated compared to the new one. It seems to be way more demanding than the old log.

I dont know if all performance issues are based on the log. There has been a clan on 1200 which stopped playing two days ago. The lag on that specific server isnt as bad anymore. I dont know why though…

I like wise tried to keep my event log open for 20-30 minutes while making something to eat and it never loaded, so guess that doesn’t work for me.

The server is very laggy now, started to really be noticeable a bit after the second pet patch, but that could also be on my end sadly, Was working well enough before though.

I’m guessing there isn’t anything we can do client side to fix this?

It so I do hope the dev/bug team find whats causing this soon, in any case thanks for all the replays and suggestions.

Its kind of pitiful that such a useless idea for the event log change was implemented, untested and is now causing so many problems. Go test this if you will, as I posted a bug about it here too. Build a massive base, so big that it takes upwards of 5 minutes or more to load…like Im talking 20k parts. Then set off 20 bombs on it as if you were going to raid it. Watch the server crash from information overload.

its not from information overload. maybe its like when people build bases off the map at invalid build areas

It’s a more complex issue not only linked to the event log.
Also the DLC has nothing to do with this nor did the programmer who worked on the event log have anything to do with the DLC.

Im fairly certain that the new changes to the event log are responsible for a lot of the issues present…unless adding the pet system screwed it up. Those are really the only two things that have been added recently to the game, and since when you attack a base with bombs…I don’t think the pet system or any information is affected by the results of the bombs causing damage…yet it does with the log. You used to be able to set as many bombs as you like down, I know for a fact weve set over 100 at a time to blow things up with no issues. Now, at 20, the server can shut down from that. THAT is a major game breaking issue, since it has been stated before that there will be no cap to the number of parts per clan (which is fine).

sounds like you are salty nemesis coming onto the forums to cry. Maybe you shouldn’t have a cheated base in an invalid area. THAT is a game breaking issue when you can raid from complete safety. I have found that I need to open the event log, close it, resume game and wait a short time Eg a minute, and then the event log will populate. If I just leave it open and wait it does not populate.
My clan mate had to do the same.

First off, every base can be raided. Its not my fault your not listening to us telling you how to raid our own base. Second, you’ve seen the hatch doors that lead into our base. They aren’t exploited, or being exploited in any way shape or form. Thirdly, we don’t have elevators in the base, so you linking that page to me means absolutely nothing.

I guess you should do a thing called “single player mode” and go look at where our front door is. You may…MAY just learn something!

it’s just a way to say. It’s loging all trash nobody cares, like fish from a fishtrap and such. So with so many little events, mostly the important things get lost.

But again, let’s be patient, and hope there will be a new version of this event-log.
