It seems like this is the thread to post feedback for the general Funcom Forums revamps in, so I hope I’m not intruding by posting my feedback of the most recent forum update here!
First off, I love how customizable the new navigation menu is. Very cool to see!!!
I added the ‘bees’ tag to clear the tag menu of the default tag list. It’s bees now.
On desktop, expanding the new menu pushes the entire forum to the right like it’s Bikini Bottom, but it’s entirely accessible on desktop albeit a tad jarring.
There’s only one real problem with the new navigation menu itself that I’ve noticed so far and it’s one I experience on mobile:
It has an inaccessible bottom. I can’t reach the inbox button or any button beneath that on mobile at least on my phone screen, which is an original iPhone SE and thus a smaller phone. I can’t scroll the menu any farther. It ends on the Messages header and then it tries to scroll the webpage itself. Can’t access the inbox button, the ‘add custom section’ button, or the desktop button at the very bottom of the navigation menu. Changing the amount of tags or categories shown doesn’t seem to have any affect on my ability to access the bottom of the menu from my phone. They’re completely out of reach.
Also, it looks like Discourse does not consider the non-heart reactions as ‘Likes’ by default since the heart is the ‘Like’ feature. People who use the other reactions but don’t ever use an actual ‘Like’ reaction will possibly not get the Like-related badges or any trust level advancement that might require Liking things if that remains the case. I suggest making it extra clear that only Likes count as Likes, if so.
