Extremely long load time between launching it from steam and the game actually loading

The game now takes a solid 5 + minutes from when I click to run the game from steam and the game actually loading.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Load game from steam
  2. Wait for 5+ minutes with Conan banner in background
  3. Randomly get into game.

I’ve checked the integrity of my files, reinstalled the game, ensured no mods.

I honestly cant understnad it - it just randomly suffered this issue. Anyone else had similar and know a way to fix it?

Do you start your game with a heavy modlist because if you need to load 40 mods it will take a while.

Nvm you confirmed no mods. I am blind.

Solved this - this was on me. Unbeknownst, there was some sizeable windows update that had occured in the background, letting this install itself then reboot and going through a lengthy update process for windows resolved it with Conan. Was odd that only Conan was affected - but please feel free to delete/close this.
