The one in the error is a virtual path so you won’t find that on your computer
While you did not send it, if the file is the one you mentioned here, then that’s not the correct one.
Look at the path I gave you above, it’s a completely different file.
So my guess is that the same setting is also in your actual Engine.ini file inside your Saved folder, the one I mentioned above:
Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\Engine.ini
so it’s not in the Engine subfolder like your path above, but the ConanSandbox subfolder, then Saved and Config
Okay, I’ll try to use the thread you gave me before and replace it with the coding from there, I found the correct engine.ini folder, thank you. Let me try that and try to do conan again, see if it pops up.
Hello again! So… another Ue4 error? Any ideas? This one happened after an update on steam (there was one… two or three days ago?) I lost count, I was on another game. This one just says Fatal Error, conansandbox will crash… it plays the graphics in the background but the second you X the box saying fatal error it goes, and I cannot seem to view the two servers I play on the server board.
And it’s fixed… thank you! I guess I just need to clear it from time to time? Okay… so I have to add a problem… I still don’t see the two servers I play on. but, not fatal error anymore.
Are these servers hosted at a commercial provider or just on your local machines?
If it’s the second one then you most likely don’t have the proper port forwarding set up on your routers or somehow is an incorrect version
I used gportal for mine, I’m unsure what my friend used for his. I have restarted it and repaired it on g portal, it was already favorited before in the game, and I went on steam to add it as a server on there but it can’t be found.
My experience with a G-portal private server showing up properly is about 50/50. Like when I had a g-portal server it showed up on the browser (and had no issues at all really). When a friend of mine had one, it hardly ever showed up and required direct connect each time, and had a slew of other issues (this was in spite of them using similar settings and features as mine did).
This was in ~2019 mind you.
One thing you can try is getting the database file and seeing if it loads up in singleplayer. If that works fine, then try it with the dedicated server software (free from Steam). If that works… consider using another provider.
