Bug Description:
The last day or so I have been unable to launch the game without a fatal error popping up. Simply launching the game causes the bug. I have removed all mods, verified integrity of game files, reinstalled the game, and updated my graphics card. Nothing seems to work. Also… the game seems to run just fine despite the fatal error pop up. I can log into the main menu, I can even log into my exiled lands playthrough. I can play for a bit but eventually the game closes and furthermore if I close the fatal error window popup the game closes then as well.
I would just like to reiterate that the game seems to run perfectly normally - with the exception of the fatal error message. It pops up once the game is launched (with or without mods) and stays there. I can move it but it overlays the game and if I close it the game closes. I can even load into my modded playthrough with no problems. The only issue is the fatal error popup and the fact that the game closes after loading in for like 10-15 minutes… although I don’t know if that is an issue with the game or if the fatal error popup automatically closes after a time and forces the game to shut down. Is there anyway of getting rid of this popup without closing my game? It seems the fatal error message is the problem. Obviously I might be wrong on that but that is what it seems like to me.

Apparently this is an issue that has been going back a ways… I found a number of different forum posts related to it. Fortunately I found a solution… all I have to do to continue playing the game is delete my save file
