Since Thursday literally everytime I launch the game, either Continue or Launch, it fatal errors, I have 0 mods subscribed, it is a fresh reinstall, and still, it loads the first splash screen and hard crashes. I have done various --Fixes-- and none of them work. Please can I have some help with this one?
Fatal error: [File:C:\B\tech_exiles\code\Engine\Source\Runtime\CoreUObject\Private\Serialization\AsyncLoading.cpp] [Line: 3485]
Could not find SuperStruct Cancel to create Cancel
Have you tried having Steam verify your local files yet? I know you said it’s a fresh install, but even during the initial install process files can get messed up. I find it’s best practice to always verify after any large operation like an install or a decent sized update.
I have yes, the reinstall was because verifying files did not work. Even after reinstalling I tried to verify and same result. Everything is up to date. I do not understand what is going on. I had no issues other than long load times, but coming Thursday and it’s been just one fatal error after another. I have:
-Unsubscribed to all mods
-Removed modlist.txt
-Wiped Servermodlist.txt
-Verified Files
-Reinstalled Conan Exiles
-Reinstalled Steam as a Whole - Most recent Fix that was suggested.
Is it the same database too? You could backup your SP database (if you normally use it) and make sure no game.db is in the saved folder, then see if it starts. I’m not sure if it preloads your SP database or not but perhaps it has a bad reference or something. Just something to try… not sure it will make a difference.
…I know this is not a fix… but …i got it to go to the server menu…
-Reinstall
-Verify
-Make sure all mods are unsubscribed
–Connect to server, let it do the mod dl from the mismatch screen
-Joins server, choppy, but, playable
(Bear in mind I have little useful knowledge of crashes or their causes) It sounds like maybe the biggest part of the issue could be to do with the launcher (given that you found a way to get in, even if not a good solution). It might be worth trying CodeMage’s BUGLE as an alternative to try to get into the game - that would at least allow you to circumvent the Funcom launcher, which could establish to what extent that is a part of the problem?
Forgive me if I’m misinterpreting what you wrote, but it sounds like your game works until you download and add the mods that the server requires. On the next start, something in the mod causes the game to crash.
You can help check that by deactivating all the mods before starting the game. Both Funcom’s launcher and BUGLE allow you to do so.
If you’re using Funcom’s launcher, here are the steps to follow:
