Fatal error when launching the game

I have recently bought the game, and when I tried to launch it, it showed me a “fatal error”.
I tried downclocking my graphics card, updating all my drivers, deleting the “appcache” folder, launching steam in administrator, verifying the game files, reinstalling the game, reinstalling BattleEye… Nothing worked.
Can you please help me ?

A friend of mine had this issue and although it was, ultimately, a hardware issue with his graphics card, I did find the following advice useful:

Uninstall the game, delete all the folders, install in a new directory.

Here’s a thread that discusses the issue. It’s important to note that this is a compatibility issue outside of Funcom’s control. The further your equipment strays from baseline, the more likelihood of an issue with mass market software.

This is not mean as a dig or an insult, just hard won knowledge garnered from 35+ years of computer gaming.
