Sometimes. Rarely.
They used to engage frequently.
Now we’re left behind to watch as they ignore us even when we’re contributing via bug reports or the huge problem with hackers on Official PVP.

If you had no ability for rational thought and were imprisoned by your own ineptitude to continue doing things that make your community despise you… would you continue to communicate with them directly?
Funcom is not known for rational behavior, but on this one they hit the nail - there is no rational reason for them to engage in discussion with the people they abuse.
Maybe we should ask the hackers to fix the bugs then? And add features we are all waiting for :-

If they only left the game alone I believe that hackers/modders would have fixed the game long time ago just like they offer hotfixes to current Ages.
It’s just lots of work and if you touch the game files directly then every update from Funcom is going to ruin your mod and you have to start over.
So yes, maybe it would be better without getting any updates from Funcom.
In a resent thread I sent up a flair in hopes of getting a community rep to chime in. I can’t say I didn’t get acknowledgement, but we certainly saw no posts from a funcom rep in the thread.
We generally get an acknowledgement about bug reports, once in a long while a community manager will pop in. But get on the Dune: Awaking discord. there are usually 4 or 5 logged in. I’ve seen over a half dozen logged in with 2 or 3 actually chatting.
Face it, Conan is now the “red headed step child” of funcom.
Not meaning to cast any sort of dispersions on red heads or step children. It’s just an old saying.

It is, in general, a fruitless effort to engage in discussion with people who disrespect the other party. The only rational reason I can come up with is for the benefit of others who are not active participants but who might gain some insight from such dialogue, no matter how toxic the other active party may be.
