It has recently come to my attention that in addition to the Lesser, Unstable and Greater ??? there is also a ‘Shinning’ ???. But I have never happened upon one of these myself, and found the Wiki a wee bit unclear as to where I can find one. Could anyone help a guy out and tell me where I might find one of these!? I like to collect all unique items and a full stack of all resources. Thanks in advance.

The only place I have seen them drop is from the elder bosses spawned at the pools. I think they only have a percent chance to drop though because I don’t always get one.

As I know Blood moon beast is the only boss that yields Shining ??? , located in the Fractured Citadel or you can spawn them with figurines at the pool.

Use a sickle and you get + 3 shining (or any other essence) when harvesting. Very useful. I have hard worker perk, tool upgrade, and goblin sigil buff, but again, +3 per sickle slash (once per corpse) is nice.

Gotta have the goblin sigil for the 3 shining harvest using a sickle. Just wanted to emphasize that.
This is by far the fastest means for harvesting essence. Blood moon beast is the only monster that you can harvest them from AFAIK, and they will occasionally drop one in their inventory as well.

@Tuffman , And this leads to a far important question for me here, the goblin sigil is that rewarding to everything you farm? Can you please give us more details about this sigil please? The last video I watched on YouTube long ago, it did not have information about this sigil. Please share thank you.

I may be wrong, but as far as I recall the goblin sigil works for things that you would normally get one of - so three horns from an antelope, three of the trophy items from vault creatures, three weathered skulls - things like that. So the ??? that you get from harvesting bodies is one of the big benefits

Goblin sigil is +2 to whatever your first harvest is for anything harvestable. Which makes it great for ??? harvesting, skeleton keys and religious harvests as well if you get lucky.

Gremlin sigil +2 on harvesting not Goblin (chance to absorb 30% of incoming dmg),
they can be easily confused tho.

I agree it works on ‘almost’ anything you harvest but are you sure it works for skeleton keys? That is something I still only get one of when harvested. Maybe I need to use a different tool (I normally use a pick)?

Disregard, I used a sickle and got 3 skeleton keys. Thanks for the info.

I think the first time I tested with a sickle I must’ve already had 2 skeleton keys in my inventory, because I have repeated it with a sickle many times since (5+) and still only get 1 skeleton key per boss. Does it only work on certain bosses @Tuffman or perhaps I am doing something else wrong?

Thankyou very much everyone for your kind and helpful replies! I have now secured my first Shinning ??? over the weekend. Well its actually still the weekend here (long weekend, woo-hoo!). I had somehow kept missing this guy in my travels. Cheers to @Kent and also a shoutout to @Halk for the Iligor tip, and to everyone else whosuggested the sickle and goblin sigil combination. Its slow going building up 1000 of ??? for a T4 Surge as a Singleplayer, this will help things along.

@Croms_Faithful , For what is worth, I farm these camps a lot every day, I get a lot of greaters, the silent legion, husk, Cho Cho, etc… statues flotsams, fop, black corsair armor pieces…
If you didn’t focus in these camps I suggest you to do, they worth a run every now and then.
These 2 camps are a 20 to 30 minutes run and their chests are full of goodies. If you have the patience to farm all the black corsair camps in this part of island, that they are not visible in this map because the photos are from a server I don’t play a lot, you’ll end up with at least 8 greaters. So in a 3 day farm maybe you will have the??? amount to do a lvl 4 sourge. Ofcurce rngesus must be with you

Farming the blood moon beast with the + 2 harvest sigil will give you enough ??? for a max level surge at least once every hour. Plus it’s flanked by accursed camps that offer plenty of chests for stocking up on lesser, unstable and greaters as well. You’ve also go Rabid Molly and Fin the Rambler in those camps with scraps for farming eldarium, blood moon beast statue at temple of the loon, plus lots of steel. By far my favorite area to camp run.
