First thoughts of the new chapter

Ok. So… Stability problems as always, game crashes often on PS5. The bigger issue is the new fortress thing. I mean, are you serious? I just tried it for the first time, climbed a couple of walls naked and grabbed some gear on the run. Finished the attack with very little problems. But the reward for the successful raid is another story, i got the same useless trash as i get from anywhere else. The same recipes as from the archives that i already have. And you wonder why players don’t like the content… It isn’t rewarding in any way. There should be something that can only be received from the fortress, we already have chests full of that junk. There was also another thing i noticed. I got 4 explosives from a cart, and if they are there every time it means anyone can just jump in, climb a wall and retrieve bombs from an endless source. Thanks for ruining the gameplay a bit more, soon we don’t need to do absolutely anything to get it all.

The camel mount is awesome though. Unfortunately we have to wait for that a long while, surprise surprise.

The new categories in the hammer are completely useless. They were mostly ok the way they were, no need to make so many categories for stuff that could be together with other similar stuff. And a couple of rough timber items were left behind in the sandstone category, btw.

The bar thingy is still to be tested, i haven’t got the barkeep from the purge. I lost a berserker to it, though. 1st tier purge and my guy couldn’t handle it since he just walks in circles and is overwhelmed by 5 fighters…

I like what they have done with the idea of taverns, not sure how I feel about the combat rebalance, but lets be real, the launch of the chapter overall was a disaster.

As of right now, my own crom coin balance has been restored, but my friend is still banned because of this issue. I also read that people have been affected AGAIN, after having had their crom coins restored once already. Andy’s post said that there shouldnt be new problems and that the core issue was fixed. Doesn’t seem like it.

  • Camel mounts. Don’t work. You cant put a camel calf in stables. So much for that feature.

  • Purge: broken. Demolishers do massive damage, enough to oneshot anything they hit. This was a known issue in test server, yet they launched it. And now devs say we have to wait til mid-january, ie. ONE MONTH, before it gets fixed. What the actual F? Purge was supposed to be the MAIN feature of this age, and now its going to be broken, for a month at least? Not to mention all the issues with spawning the purge. Ive had it spawn, Ive also had it not spawn, seemingly for no particular reason.

  • Tavern: really, really nice. I like it, but mainly for RP purposes. However it does give a whole lot of life to my base.

  • combat rebalance: people are angry that funcom put forward a change that seemingly nobody asked? See Wak’s video about it. It doesnt feel like something I cant live with, but I dont understand why they made changes in the first place.

  • PVE raid: Ive not had a chance to test yet.

Im kinda at a loss for words at how big a mountain of *uck-up is Funcom allowed to grow before something changes? Its probably some executives somewhere that force the devs to work their skin off and launch stuff unfinished and unfixed, but this can’t go on. The crom coin issue is a monumental trainwreck. No player in their right mind is going to recommend this game to their friends.

reward is to level your thrall at level 20 when you kill the boss, this is a thrall factory training, you prefer to kill apes and skeletons for hours

and the diffiiculty s to keep your thrall alive untill you kill the boss.

there are easy ways to level a thrall to 20. this is an odd mostrosity with serious performance hit to the servers.

nop it take 5h to level a dalinsia, with this event if you manage it and make survive your thrall it take 10-15 mn. and this is needed knowing how thralls can die fast actually.

this is also an event that in addition give some action for those who want and allow to learn raid mechanism (done in direction of pve players)

My first thought on the fortress… “so, that means we can build bases that big!”
