Dear Devs,
All the new content you worked on is great. I like getting attacked by the were-hyenas at night. That adds a cool element to running around at night. Also, did you make night brighter at all? It just seems more comfortable now. Anyway, this mechanic is fun. Thumbs up!
I really like all the new things we can buy from the Jebbal vendors. It’s going to be fun collecting the teeth to do that. That’s the type of content I hope to see more of in the future. Maybe you can rework the Age of Sorcery vendors to not be over powered and then we can have more variety for buying stuff all over the world. But anyway, good work on this aspect.
The new boss monsters are a cool touch and adding more to Al-Marayea (or however it’s spelled) was a good idea too. Overall I like the ideas for this chapter a whole lot. I can tell you put a lot of effort into it, especially the visuals.
Oh! And I really appreciate the camera-facing combat option. It’s a little clunky, but whatever. It’s better than Chapter 3. Thank you.
I have a small list of things I’d like you to work on quickly to make the game even better to play:
-
There is a bug with the inventory where you can’t add things to chests or vaults. Sometimes logging out clears it, other times it does not. It’s weird. This is a pretty critical fix that needs to happen quickly.
-
For me, aiming a ballista is really jerky. It skips around and doesn’t want to hold its position well. There’s a lot of stuttering, it seems. Maybe I just have an older machine I play on or something, but aiming is a bit of a chore right now.

Please bring back a lot of the buttons you took away for inventory management. Give and Give All were very useful. Also, for those of us who have a degree of visual impairment, the new size of the inventory UI makes it harder to see. Is there a way to toggle the zoom on that? Also, is there a way to give players a visual cue that a container is full?
-
Another idea is for you to just steal the inventory management system from Rust. Mouse-over looting and giving is very quick and easy. Also, the way Rust lets you drag a bar for grabbing a portion of a stack or letting you type in a number in the UI to get that many items in a stack is great. Also the Shift + Mouse Button commands for grabbing Half or a Third of a stack is tremendous. Please consider adding some of these to Conan if it’s possible with your engine.

There is a problem with archer posts not allowing thralls to stand by them. I don’t know how to describe it exactly, but it seems as if when you have an archer post elevated above other building pieces, like say a tower or look-out spot, it won’t accept a thrall. Could you check into that and ensure posts always accept thralls?
-
Finally, please undo the nerfs to thralls. They die all the time now. Getting thralls and having followers is one thing that makes Conan different from a lot of the other survival games out there. You should be accentuating them, not nerfing them so hard they merely become decorations or at best, lever workers for siege cauldrons. I don’t mind the damage nerfs so much (except for the rare fighter that has less than a 1.0 damage mod) , but the hit point nerfs are the real problem. Please make thralls more capable of surviving.
Thank you,
-Befallen
