Bug Description:
Just Drink the Yellow Lotus Potion once whether accidental or intentional your game is now broken. Congratulations your time spent is now wasted down the drain. Fix or Remove Yellow Lotus Potion. Compensation for affected players or add reliable sources of Exiled Lands Knowledge to Siptah especially those concerning grandmaster kit and beastial memory, as well as armor. Hell just sell it and I will buy it from bazaar, just don’t make us go through that 0.5% RNG for something we have already earned and lost due to a bug that should have been fixed a long time ago. Doing those dungeon in the exiled lands and learning new recipes or discovering them out in the open world for the first time is fun and rewarding but, you can’t recreate the feeling anymore when you make us go through meaningless grind for something we had and lost not because it was intended is NOT in any way FUN and it’s NOT GOOD please have some decency and value our time. Not just value in taking our money.

I ain’t spending another dime until this bug is Fixed and I am compensated for my loss. I was cleaning your store all DLC’s and Bazaar, but all I got is this ? lol. Can’t even fix an old damn bug. No Fix, No compensation, No more money for you.
Solution is really Easy. Just add the damn exiled lands recipe to isle of siptah. After all you cant play siptah without buying the base game lol. for those already in siptah like grandmaster enhancement kit recipes and improved fish traps and the mythical midnight alchemy and feast recipes. JUST REMOVE THEM FROM RNG WALL FOR THE LOVE OF GOD you can acquire them guaranteed in exiled lands, I dont see the reason why it should be any different for siptah. Most especially when you allow players to transfer from one map to the other bringing this things with them. This just creates an unnecessary imbalance between player base. Furthermore they are already considered staple and essential recipe in the game and for those who lost these feats because of a stupid bug should not be left to suffer for causes not of their own doing. You failed to fix the bug/problem, you failed to compensate time and again the least you can do is give us a way to fix the problem ourselves. I really don’t get it how hard is it to add a boss that drops just grandmaster kit recipe if you want to add a bit of rng sure it drops either an armor or a weapon but thats a 100% drop rate of either one not a 0.5% cosmic rarity chance, when you can simply obtain it by interacting with a stone tablet in the other map. It really makes no sense. The need of players to re-spec attributes is greater now more than ever. The necessity of upgrading armors and weapons to its optimal state is a staple in both maps it doesn’t matter which map they play they both need it and should be accessible more or less the same way. You do realize that by mixing every available recipe both from the exiled land esoteric vaults and those that can be obtained in siptah in this massive pool of recipe can mean that a player can be so unlucky to never ever see it in his life. He will probably get burned out and get bored of your game and still, never realize such a thing exist if he does not search for it in the internet, Oblivious to the fact that its as simple as pressing the interaction button in front of a tablet in the other map. That would have been a good thing for that guy who finally decided to quit the game. But how about those who already have it knows what it is, what it does but lost it due to causes not of their own. You do realize this is beyond frustration and disappointment. Not everyone scours the forums or the internet just to know what bugs you fixed or don’t fix. So why don’t you just add a way for us to solve our problems on our own and add the damn recipe to the game and remove the damn rng wall.
While I appreciate that you feel like you suffered a loss, I think the way you’re going about it is a bit unreasonable and very “personal”.
I’m obviously not talking about the bug report, since that’s completely fair. It is a bug and yes it would be nice if it was fixed.
However… you need to realize that you are NOT playing on Exiled Lands… so it doesn’t matter how easy or hard it is to get it on that map… you’re not playing on it… as such, it’s irrelevant… Especially that they stopped the possibility of transfers months ago and the recipes ARE available on Siptah through the mechanic they designed for that map… as such they are obtainable again, now whether you like the method through which you get them there or not, that is a different matter.
Furthermore while those recipes are nice indeed… they are not in any way “essential” as you described… the fact that you’re playing on Siptah makes them even less essential since you don’t have to wait with every weapon and play without any upgrade as you can remove upgrades there with the delving bench, unlike on EL where you might want to wait if you want to min-max as to not “ruin” the weapon with a subpar upgrade.
Again, I am not discounting the validity of your frustrations, only your proposed “solution” since imo. the solution is to fix the bug obviously and not to start compensating for it with unrelated changes to map mechanics and drops.
Hope you cheer up though
Oh ok, yeah that makes sense if the item is something you can delve and repair afterwards.
Back on topic, the yellow lotus bug is very annoying because it wipes feats that are not supposed to be wiped after obtained. It is something that worked before without an issue and then it didn’t.
Now you either have to commit or respec using a potion that is really hard to obtain on IoS due to it being locked behind heavy rng.
I wonder how Funcom prioritises the bugs as this one is pretty high up on my list.
But you cant play in Siptah without buying base game which contains Exiled lands. The mere fact that you can transfer from one server to the other bringing with you whatever knowledge you have with you from one map to the other clearly shows that was not the initial intent. Otherwise they would have locked those recipe exclusively to their own respective maps. I would have agreed to your argument had we able to buy Siptah separately from exiled lands. However, that is not the case is it ? The addition of the thralls in the open world and the other contents in siptah after its initial launch just shows that most of this map mechanics you talk about were mere after thought.
I don’t see why important recipe such as midnight alchemy and grand master enhancements even glowing essence be locked in RNG and its not like there are no guaranteed intractable that provides guaranteed recipe in siptah so idk what map mechanics are you talking about. The problem here is that there is a bug even if its rare is still a game breaking bug.
What I am also suggesting that if they want put RNG on this exiled recipe why not add them to a boss drop like how red mother drops random rare things at low rate.
The fact that the schematic pool is filled with all sorts of recipe including delving schematics just shows how poorly this RNG map mechancis you are saying is being implemented right now. You do realize you can narrow down the rng with this delving schematics by using a particular weapon type to get weapons on the same weapon type pool ? Hell some of the delve armor are guaranteed by using a specific type of armor when delving. But they cant do that in exiled recipe ? I don’t see why the same cannot be applied to exiled lands recipes when they are both placed in one massive pool of recipe by the schematic system. They can also even add a reverse engineering bench since this exiled armors already drop in siptah why not add a reverse engineering bench after all you can only get this armors by engaging the siptah map mechancis like grey ones pool and summoning surges.
Do you also realize that even if they do apply my proposed solution it wouldnt really affect siptah conents and mechanics right ? you do realize that these recipe are still in siptah just locked behind abysmal RNG. Siptah contents and mechancs are entirely seperate such as elder vaults, pool of the grey ones how will adding exiled land recipe even interfere with this mechanics ? The fact that you can transfer fully equiped with knowledge from either map completely negates your argument wouldn’t it be better if a player from siptah can acquire the same recipe at the same or at least reasonable rng ?
Furthermore recipe and knowledge are not completely exclusive. You can even bringing siptah gear which is clearly not meant for exiled land and yet it has been done several times already. An equipment a player who only bought the base game will not have unless they loot it from someone or someone gave it to them this clearly breaks immersion let alone your map mechanics. Here, I am talking about siptah people who play here have exiled lands, this recipes although not all of them can be found in siptah and hard locked by RNG are still in fact integrated in siptah. My problem here is that the loss of this recipe is due to a bug they should in a way adjust the game for people who play in siptah considering they have a game breaking bug they cant fix even if its a rare one as the other commenter said.
That’s not a thing like I said… They had a character “copy” feature enabled for a while sure, but that has been removed months ago - partly for this very reason as bringing stuff over from another map was upsetting balance on that map.
That’s easier said than done… If it was possible in an easy way, they probably would have
It IS however a completely separate map, played separately until such time as they figure out a viable technical way to integrate them together, which may never come.
Read my post again if needed… The point I was making is that THIS is a feature of the game that YOU personally dislike and you’re suggesting a feature change…
The only bug here is that the yellow lotus potion resets some knowledge entries that it shouldn’t… period… And yes, it would be nice if it wasn’t bugged…
However any implication beyond that of how you would prefer if Siptah had fixed locations for those two recipes… that’s simply your own opinion which differs from that of the developers apparently. They made a map, they decided that recipe is going to be RNG… it is what it is… you don’t have to like it, but that’s how it is… that specifically is not a bug in any way.
They do make game design decisions that not everybody likes… for example I just read the testlive patch-notes and I saw at least 4 things that imo are absolutely moronic… like letting zombies keep their armor players equipped them with - which until now we thought was a bug… further nerfing the better pets by 40% as if they weren’t weak enough already… nerfing the katana… nerfing the skelos master armor… basically giving in to all the “nerf” cries etc. It is what it is… even if you don’t see the reason behind it… somebody did because it’s there…
That sucks, maybe it only works for weapon upgrades? idk like I said I quoted the wiki as I haven’t tried that myself
The transfer feature was removed because it was deleting characters occasionally, not because of the balance and upsetting players. That complaint was only on pvp. It was the deletion of characters only. I know, I lost mine twice. The second time it was lost permanently since they tried like 6 times to recover it and couldn’t.
It was a combination of both and the reason there hasn’t been much news about it since. Don’t underestimate the pvp “nerf” calls, we have at least 4 items on the testlive patch-list that was due to PvP nerf calls among them is the katana dash for example completely being nerfed to the ground.
I’m well aware of the PvP nerfs (they’re really annoying sometimes), but I know this feature was removed mostly due to the deletion. Shortly after their multiple attempts at recovering my character, they announced the removal. While PvP may have been a large complaint amongst a specific group, if the game is deleting characters, it’s a bigger issue that will affect everyone.
do not fix the yellow lotus bug. when i see a logged out player i quickly craft an alchemist bench and start making yellow lotus potions to drop in their inventory and hit use to reset them, i try to do it at least 10 times to make sure i get all those recipes. i’ve used other players alc benches during raids to reset the clan members who were logged out at the time. this is a great pvp feature and should remain. isle of siptah needs to have a npc that sells midnight alchemist at camp of the castaways or at the accursed citadel
Restating is very much essential, Idk what game your playing but especially pvp your going to restat probably 4 times each time you even pickup the game… You sound very biased almost like you’ve never played siptah…
