I started playing again maybe 3 months ago, and I haven’t had this issue or seen this bug until the release of the new DLC.
My thrall refuses to equip his weapon sometimes, it seems to be getting worse. I was thinking maybe its the type of weapon.
I have a berzerker, level 18 using the blade of the Adventurer, and since I switched to this sword he is having the bug. Before he was using the 2 handed poison sword that you craft from the library recipe, and never had the issue.
Anyone think this is weapon specific, or is it just an old bug coming back since IoS?
The inevitable and obvious question is: Did you put the Blade of the Adventurer in your thrall’s hand?
My thralls will just punch things if I don’t put the weapon I want them to change to in their hand after they’ve drawn their weapon. Once my thrall has drawn it’s weapon it will not sheath it until I leave the game. Upon returning to the game the weapon will be sheathed.
I only let them keep one weapon in their inventory, unless they are an archer. Up until IoS, I didnt have this issue, but since I changed weapons I was wondering if its weapon specific. Yes, I can “put” the weapon in his hands, should I have to? No. Back when they started making weapon changes over a year ago this was a bug, but I thought they had it sorted out. Apparently not.
Just wanted to mention that I wasn’t being sarcastic or implying anything when I typed " obvious and inevitable." When I read your post I thought to myself that it was obvious and inevitable that someone was going to ask you if you tried putting the weapon directly into your thralls hand. So that’s what I typed while thinking I might as well ask that since it hadn’t been asked. Sorry for any misunderstanding this may have caused.
And I agree that we shouldn’t have to put the weapon in our thralls hand.
