Food/Thirst stats stuck at full

[|New player PS4 default settings - no mods/nothing other than the game as it downloads. About an hour into the game I finally figured out the controls and was enjoying playing. Ate some roast and drank from my sealed water skin taking my thirst and hunger stats to 100% full, but 3 hours later they are still full. All meat rots and I have no need to eat it. Never need a drink of water. Restarting didn’t help. Went into settings, raised thirst/hunger 1 click. Excited that it seemed to work - I got hungry and thirsty, then I ate and drank - forever full again.]

Steps on how to reproduce issue:

  1. Turn game on
  2. Eat and drink normally for about an hour
  3. Get frustrated and write to forums

Are you playing in Single Player?

If so, did you change any of the Server Settings?
