Forced time out for inactive players

This is a problem with me not the game but it’d be good if funcom can pick up my continuously dropped ball. I constantly fall asleep whilst playing as I suffer from insomnia and sometimes i just hit a wall and basically pass out. I suggest an automatic forced log off for people that have been afk for a long period of time. Can be added to personal game settings so it’s not a thing for players that don’t want it. Losing full kits of legendary weapons, flawless epic armour and star metal tools is beginning to hurt my stocks lol :joy:

I’ve lost count of how many times all my gear has been lost for precisely this reason!

So yes, I’d be in favor of a client-side AFK option that allows us to specify if and when to log us off due to inactivity. Also be nice if once the option were enabled, it would over-ride and perform a logout when the character’s thirst or hunger become critical because we went AFK standing by a door or window and didn’t have full shelter.

There is actually one there already! It just only seems to work some times not all the time and it’s random times it goes off! I have had it pop up saying you have been removed for inactivity if am gone to loo and back. Some times I been afk all day and not been removed. I play on PS4 so how it works I do not know but it’s there sort of.

Yes whay not, but then they need to remove the decay on the purge meter to.

That one is for when the server is full, so it’s not “random” when it goes off. It’s not much use to most people unless they play on a server that is full most of the time though.

I agree. There will be no harm in kicking inactive players from server after half an hour for example.

On PS4 the settings allow the console to get idle after some time of inactivity and to choose between keeping or not the internet connexion when the console get idle. Set your PS4 rightly and you’ll be automatically logged out each time you are inactive for a long time. I don’t own an Xbox but I’d be surprised if it isn’t possible to do that on it. And most PCs have settings to interrupt the internet connexion when it get idle.
Personally I hate when an online game kick me out for inactivity because real life interruption that took more time than I suspected.

FTFY  Anyway, this is why I’d say it should be an option on PC like what you’ve said is present on PS4. Currently we have no method of doing this if so desired.
