FOV and NUDITY problems on MS STORE

Hi guys, since i talked to funcoms support and they couldnt help me, i come here in order to finnally solve these 2 problems:

  1. My fov restarts every time i open te game, i already changed it on the game files to 120, but it restarts, and yes, i have the permission to change the game files, so i have no clue on how could i solve this, please somebody help me :c

  2. Even though i downloaded the nudity dlc, i cant see my pjs naked, nor on private or official servers, the option doesnt even appear on my game settings to be changed, so its not even an option for me. Im more interested on solving my 1) problem, but solving this would be nice tho.

thanks for each one who helps me, i´ll be really pleased to receive help :stuck_out_tongue:

You need to give the drop down menu a second or two to populate. Once it does you can make sure to set it to partial or full on General and Server Settings.

nope, there is no naked option  btw at the moment of the picture i was on an official server

and on sv settings theres no full naked option

As far as I know there is unfortunately nothing to do for you. The Version you can buy at the Microsoft store behaves like the Xbox Console Version and ignores all settings and the savegame file locally on your pc and uses always the cloud data. This explains the lack of nudity also, the moment you are connected to Funcom/XBox Network/Internet the Option to select vanishes (nudity dlc worked long time ago in my region but not anymore since at least AoS). And then there was (dont’t know if this is still a thing) the problem that you won’t get updates and everytime you have to manually download the whole game yourself to force getting the latest version. And you can’t install mods.

In short: Microsoft Store Version sucks, buy at steam which sucks a tiny little less,

Have you taken a look to see if the dlc is enabled when you’re looking at your downloaded content? It may require an update if it’s not showing up in game

Honestly, it is very tiresome to have people complaining about these things all the time, and on the same breath all that whole speeches about democracy and etc. It is “your” democracy that decided you cant have nude characters in a video game.

I don’t know what “my“ democracy has to do with malfunctioning software. The implementation by Funcom for handling the XBox Network cloud integration of the settings and game database is broken. The nudity dlc which simply tampers with the settings handled by this broken implementation is also broken (on PC, works on Xbox!).

I know, to expect working software is naĂŻve.

Just someone being a bigot, report them for it and move on. They’re being ignorant and don’t know what they are talking about and letting hate fill in the gaps.

Getting nudity to work in game can be a tad bit tricky, no matter what platform you are on. You need both your personal settings to allow it, and the settings on the ‘server’ you play on. I say server in quotes because when you play singleplayer you play on a fake local server. So the settings for this fake server need to be set to allow full nudity as well as your personal settings.

The issue the OP has with FOV settings reverting is concerning. It might mean settings and options aren’t saving for whatever reason. They might need to reboot their system, and possibly reinstall the game.

So US players can have nudity, with the US version of the game?
Since when?
The only way i knew so far was people to order the EU copies of the game, not the US. If the op has US copy, he will never ever have full nudity. That’s why @KorgFoehammer said…

About Fov, enlighten me @Taemien , what is it?

I’ve had full nudity since 2017 when I purchased the game in early access.

The steam version of the game has no restrictions in the US. The Xbox version to my knowledge doesn’t have it by default, but offers a free DLC as an optional download to enable it. Requiring an optional extra step over PC. I assume the Playstation is similar, but I don’t know for sure.

Trust me, we have far less restrictions (legally) in our video games than people tend to think. The content we can create with mods for example in Conan Exiles could get one arrested in most other areas of the world, content I cannot even describe without grossly violating forum guidelines from just the description itself.

FOV is Field of View, the setting in the game that adjusts how wide of an area you can see. Its the setting that if set higher lets you see more stuff to the sides of you at the cost of things in front of you appearing further away. People increase it to keep their situational awareness higher.

Nope! Playstation US version no nudity and no dlcs for nudity either.

We have performance and quality option, no Fov slider.
Thanks a million Taemien!

Just to reiterate the problem: The PC-Version bought at Microsoft store makes all the configuration files and the database on your local storage just as the steam version, but the part of the client which syncs this with Microsofts cloud storage locks most of it and reverts it to default, changes to the local files have no effect. This may be ok for options you can’t access via the game UI, but for options you can change there these changes clearly should be saved. This is a bug. Or ignorance.

Regarding the nudity, I play regular (ok, not anymore because of all the other mess since AoH) on Xbox and Playstation from Europe, there were never restrictions. CE is clearly labeled as “for adults“ and as such there is no need for censoring nudity (here). Opposite to Valve/Steam, who simply Geoblock half of the store and many mods for CE in Germany because they fear, I don’t know, what exactly?

I don’t play on PC anymore because I own it only via Microsoft and the only reason to play on PC for me would be Mod support. Which ist borked here where I live also as mentioned.

Ah i forgot: You can adjust FOV on playstation also, but only in performance mode!

Thanks for the tip @fx801p :metal:.

What you said is exactly the problem.

The software is working as intended. It works that way so your “suits” can say they are protecting the “morals” or the “values” or what ever.

Or havent you read what almost EVERYONE who knows about it said ?

But I digress, I was just ignore.

This is the biggest load of crap you could spew out. Well that and all of the other utterly false statements I have proven to you to be completely false. Not that you will ever ADMIT to being wrong at any point in your pathetic little life.

But here in the US I play on PC. And guess what? FULL NUDITY IS 100% ENABLED So that goes completely contrary to your idiotic assertion that it is “our democracy” that decided that “we cannot have nude characters in a video game”, because we can and we do. It is however Playstation and Microsoft who have made those decisions ON THEIR PLATFORMS not to allow it, which you already know, as it has been pointed out in these very forums MANY MANY MANY TIMES FOR AT LEAST SEVEN YEARS NOW.

So when you have literally nothing useful to say, do everyone on these forums a favor and STFU!

On PC since early access. This has always been part of the game. It has literally never been restricted on the steam version in the US.

No, the reason he said it is because he is an ignorant tw@t. @KorgFoehammer is full of himself and talks out of his arse on a near constant basis and wouldn’t know what a fact was if it bit him on said arse.

I have been playing since early access on PC on Steam and have had full nudity from day one. So have every other PC steam user in the US that I know of. If is only US player on Playstation and Xbox that are restricted, but that is not because of “our democracy” in any way shape or form.

 See right there is yet another example.

Sad but true.

I already took the lesson sister from @Taemien and @fx801p already .
But you know what they say…
Repeat is the mother of knowledge .
So thank you too for confirming what happens on pc.

Many fellow American players on my console believe different than you. These words are not mine, but a replication of theirs .

This is your opinion not mine.
For me literally everybody in here is a fellow exile and no matter what, i will always try to be kind with everyone, even if their behavior doesn’t reflect kindness!

I never claimed it was anyone’s opinion other than my own.

However, as they say “respect is earned, not given”. That on has proven time and time again that they do not deserve the kind of kindness you speak of, though I do now fault you for your view. They simply have done nothing to earn it, rather their action have done quite the contrary.
