They’ll be losing sleep over your $10, I am sure. While you are at it, you may demand a seat on the board of Directors also.
Probably not the only one who does. And from those small sums, that company’s result is made, every game not bought is out of the company’s result. The cost is in any case.
Well, I won’t buy it either, so it’s already $ 20. But honestly, I don’t care. If I get banned, I’ll start cheating.
Pretty sure an FC rep once said, “We do not want cheaters money, just go away”. Have you considered playing a game that actually wants you to cheat?
Before you waste your time on something insignificant. You might want to check how many players play official vs not. The last time I checked, it was 1 out of 8 (higher number here means less) players and shrinking. This was before the new policy. It was 1 out of 6 about three years ago.
So even if everyone stopped playing the game who plays on officials (the only ones affected by the new policies) it wouldn’t hurt Funcom that much. Though it would give them a nice excuse to save money on those rentals from G-Portal.
And this is why Funcom needs to share their blacklist.txt files with server hosts. Cause Funcom doesn’t want you on their server, I wouldn’t want you on mine either.
This is why I only play on private servers. With people I know or am comfortable with knowing they aren’t cheaters or exploiters.
And why I enjoy the game so much since it first came out four years ago.
I think he said something like “let’s never check the exchange of things in the game, so that cheaters buy multiple accounts to make bodyvaults.”
Normally the Funcom management seems deficient to me, but in this case I can tell you: if you have been banned by haks, a friend of yours must have used a program. As far as I know, Funcom NEVER bans if it is simply a lag problem (sometimes the characters “teleport” because of that), if you are not really using any external program no matter what it looks like in the video, they will not ban you.
On the other hand, when we played we only did it with known people and under the promise of never using any illegal program and we have never had a problem of being banned by haks. In wars we have been constantly accused of using cheats (especially when people can’t beat you ), but if you don’t use any cheat it doesn’t matter what people say.
Do not do anything illegal and do not write ANYTHING in chat (so they can not take what you said out of context to report to you), the only problem now is the constructions.
That is why I find the construction ban so worrisome: it is something that you cannot control, you do not know if what you build is bannable or not - there are constructions that you see on servers and you know that they can be reported perfectly (large landclaim for example), but there are many others that seem normal and people are also banned for it.
The difference between an honest and a dishonest person is that the dishonest person seems to know every way to cheat but always vehemently denies ever using them. - Plato
If you don’t know anything about cheats, you shouldn’t write about how good ToS is. I know many ways to cheat in the game, from harmless “exlots” to various programs. And bans for large buildings are absolutely inadequate methods when the situation with cheats in the game is as it is.
I think we are done here. . .lol
Indeed, it is much better to write about what you do not know about. It is very convenient when there is no understanding, but there is an opinion.
I agree with some of what you said although I wont be cheating. Banning whole clans for very vague land claim rules is completely ridiculous. Never got any word from funcom on the reasoning. And yes I went through zendesk. I just don’t understand what they are thinking. The game is literally built around building and land claiming certain areas. I get the clans that go crazy and land claim whole grid squares but come on
Yeah, right, we all need to be hardcore PVP players who have learned all there is to learn about possible exploits in Conan Exiles in order to have a valid opinion on this:
Let me know which university lets me major in Conan Exiles Cheating, so I can pass the Conan Exiles Cheating bar exam and be on your level of discussion
Just try to play the game (on PVP) for as long as you spend on the forum. This is enough to learn 90% of all exploits.
It’s true, it’s like a knitting circle. Some of us are garrisoned in the hinterlands waiting for the onslaught, and yet we still hear the tricks, rumors and accusations. /s
I’m the only one who ever knows the glitches when they appear. When they do, the player goes bye bye, and my pals are like “what happened?”
I’m not saying this to aggrandize myself, it’s that most honest players don’t know glitches.
Or you know, you can realize that PvP is not all there is to Conan. Or any game. And in reality it means exactly nothing at all and amounts to nothing in regards to obtaining any grand level of knowledge above anyone else. We get it, that is YOUR chosen play style. That does NOT make it superiour and that does NOT gift you with any sacred knowledge that no one else could ever possibly obtain. Stop being so sactamonious and get over yourself for just one moment.
If you get banned, it’s because you already were breaking the rules.
And chances are you are already doing so. You are just scared that NOW you are going to get caught and NOW that Funcom is taking a hard stance on things and actually banning people you are going to be one of those people. Well, the choice is yours. It always has been, it always will be. No one can be or will be at fault but you if you do end up getting banned. And based on your attitude shown on this thread alone, I highly doubt it will be long before that happens.
And I imagine that those honest players who do know those glitches don’t go around saying they intend to use them if they stop liking the rules. It’s sort of implied by the word “honest”
But apparently, I’ll have to spend more time playing Conan Exiles PVP before I’m allowed to correctly interpret English words like that one
The only emperor is the emperor of ice-cream.
Well you see my favorite factotum, I only know these scurrilous things because I’m devious, and a rascal. I discern with vigour what my enemy might use against me, and I derive great joy from foiling his “supermannery.”
