Funcom recently released a patch fix great. But yet still an underlying problem persists: funcom.
To make the gameplay more fluid and more challenging combat drains stamina which means you almost can never grt a full combo in. Yikes, the combo system is useless.
npcs can cancel your combo, but you cannot cancel our their combos. which means you lose stamina on a parry attack yet the npc registers nothing and keeps swinging. With npcs ganging you up into a corner its highly likely you will not be able to retain stamina enough to fight your way out due to rolling and jumping to escape the fight to no avail.
the lodestone depletes max stam in 1 or 2 hits yet the stam pool for combat mewns pvp is a whoever has the lodestone wins 99% of the time due to the one without being unable to avoid incoming attacks due to the lodestones overpowered stamina drain. Funcom ignores this despite many people complaining about it.
And much more than this
This is a company who expects people to want to play their games, buy their in game content, but for what? If conan exiles is anytbing to go off of than its quite evident that Funcom has 0 respect, 0 passion, 0 care when it comes to the gaming world.
I got to say that this is the first Iâm hearing about it as being a game breaking weapon. I can see it being that but how is it different than the voidforge mace in that regard? Or is this because of the sprint attack mauls have and therefore there is no escaping the hit and losing the 80-90 stamina with said hit (and the other issue that no one in PVP puts anything into grit and so their stamina is trash)?
I dont know about voidforged or siptah. I do know that ive had at least two grit perks and some other clan members had full perks and we still all lost the stam that 1 or 2 hits. Give 2 lodestones to a clan of 10 and raid a competent pvp clan of 5 who ordinarily succeed the matchup would be doomed after the 10 clan use the lodestone
There are a lot of problems with combat and most of them have nothing to do with staminaâŠbefore or after the changes.
Jusy to name a few⊠You can get stuck in enemies. A.I. is incredibly basic and at many times beyond dumb. You can stun lock enemies. One hand maces cannot be interrupted once the attack animation begins. Some attack animations lock the player for a brief moment which prevents movement. Enemies near instantly look at the player which makes some enemies very difficult to get a hit on. Hit boxes are wonky. Poor feedback given to the player about combat mechanics. Some enemies can be staggered while others cannot. You can get stuck on enemies which prevent movement.
I dont play pvp but I suspect they have there own issues. Trying to tune a game that is pvp and pve makes changes valid in one but invalid for the other.
Right⊠the underlying problem with this game is stamina issues⊠not the fact that thereâs several other bugs and issues that cause players to die offline or fall through player created structures⊠or the world itself.
Iâm willing to take the OP at his word and he and his 5 man clan are getting wrecked by just 2 players with the Lodestone sans the other 8 in a 5v2. As well as many other weapons that he hasnât encountered yet.
Its very common for Conan Exiles âtop class legitâ PVPers to get noobed by weapons they havenât seen before. Its much easier to write a funcom bad post than it is to adapt or change tactics. Makes them feel all kinds of solidarity and all that nonsense.
Like i said in the post âmuch moreâ can only say so much before you begin to wonder why you try to give feedback to people who donât care what the player base says
My concern with your topic isnât that youâre thoroughly upset about stamina issues, but that youâre basically saying theyâre the greatest issue with this game. Youâre complaining that theyâre the main reason why you donât have fun and Funcom should drop everything and fix them. I agree that maybe thereâs some truth to the stamina⊠maybe. However, I think that idea needs to be put on the back burner readdressed later.
I want a game thatâs not gonna cause me to lose my stuff again. I want a game that I can safely log out in my own base, rather than logging out in a small outpost where I have no crafting benches or materials. I want a game that I donât have to constantly dread going by another playerâs base, fearing Iâll lag out and crash, or get stuck inside their baseâs foundations. Maybe we need to consider what the REAL underlying issues are before they start trying to break (fix?) combat stuff. Again.
The current dev team needs to go. Not only have they been destroying the game with new bugs, but they have been steadily dismantling everything that made the game great with poor design decisions. The game is absolute trash today. Nothing is fun and nothing is reliable - whatâs here today may be gone tomorrow.
Then you dont Pvp. Lodestone OPAF. 2 hits and enemy ia stammed, especially if they whif an attack, they are probably dead unless someone helps them. Also you dont recover stamina while being hit even by normal weapons lodestone compounds it. I have clips to prove it, just not uploaded to youtube.
Stam feels bad for Strength builds overall.
The Str meta is running hammer attacks over and over.
Lodestones arent super easy to farm consistantly so if youre group can wrestle them away from enemy team youre in good shape and as such i dont loathe them.
My main gripe is when enemies are arrowing youre base and you have to respawn and re kit but nothing is loading because the game prioritizes rendering explosions and other things before youre loot in chests so you can quickly re arm, doors so you can navigate, etc.
Getting hammered by a zerg everynight gets frusttating when they can keep you lagged in place by damaging youre base. Every second can be crucial in a raid and being stuck waiting for thinga to load is unacceptable.
So the current PvP weapon of the week is Lodestone? Itâs a never ending complaint with PvP weapons, daggers, spears and now this. Sure, Funcom can nerf it, but some other weapon will take its place. Again.
