the launcher good … there room for improvement … one is we need to see the health of server from the continue button if it down or going down it need to know not to try to connect until its tried try get good connection before launching you into the game and also a good indicator of which server the continue button is on. would be nice also will this launcher be able to handle mod download as well from 3rd party platforms ? that not on steam ? as im seeing that you guys are trying to move away from steam workshop ?
I know. i even trying to disable Voice chat… i am not a fan of both. But this is not Funcom’s problem.
Don’t like this annoying and unnecessary thing, how to disable it ??
My launcher works fine but when my gf tries starting conan exiles from steam, the launcher flashes up for a short time and then just shuts down with no error message.
Hi @Zuffy!
Could you please have her try verifying the game files and let us know whether that fixes it?
To do so, right click on Conan Exiles on the Steam library, then go to Properties, Local Files, and click Verify integrity of game files.
Let your gf make a file check. seems like something is missing
After a short Steam update the launcher, er, launches… All’s well, untill you press continue. It then went to the server lists where a dialogue box said that it was attempting to join… And so the wait went on. And on. And on. After 5 minutes, or so, I cancelled and tried logging in via the server list. My ‘normal’ server had a PING of 9999 and has, as of time of typing, been offline for the past 4 and a half hours!
Way to go Funcom. Fixing things that don’t need to be fixed, yet leave all of the other ‘known’ bugs in game.
As of 21.30hrs (UK time) the server is still down after 12+ hours.
I liked it. Easy to access mods
Generally it is a good practice to give users a choice wether or not that want additional programs installed on their computers. I never gave any consent to have this new launcher installed on my device and want it removed. How can I do so and still launch the game through Steam, the platform I actually chose to install and use?
Really happy to see things are progressing in the right direction, and that the community is being listened to! Brilliant stuff. Having mods organised prior to launch will save people on lower end PCs a lot of time and effort when fiddling with mods. Loading the game can take a long time for people who don’t have it on an SSD especially.
nice, your launcher damaged my savegames in exiles, thx funcom
Please bring back the Conan Exiles Collectors Edition for PC in the USA, make a big announcement that everyone can see and I’ll pay good money for it. I swear to god. I’m sure a lot of players would.
Ok i had to verify my gamedata, now i have to manage my mods until they are updated. Made the mistake of starting with all of them, a window pops up and asks me “mods bla bla, do you want to play without mods?” …for the heck of it i clicked “no”… Had to reset my computer.
Since you asked: I don´t care for ALL launchers!
…except for MO2, of course.
Got the update, like the launcher, BUT, it isnt showing all of the mods i have installed.
I like the launcher
- Continue button is great
- Mod management is great
- it is painfully slow in-game, much faster in the launcher
- I like that you can open the mod folder - I regularly open the mod folder and keep multiple copies of modlist.txt to switch between. It would be great if the mod launcher had a feature to manage different mod lists and quickly switch between them.
“Disable BattlEye” is now harder to access - it would be good to show this option right in the launcher (not hide it behind the “More” button).
But PLEASE fix thralls! They are horribly broken and nothing else you are doing matters to me at all until thralls work. I have only played 1-2 hours since 2.3 was released because thralls are so incredibly broken.
I’ve just downloaded the game to play for the first time, launcher opens. and it doesn’t have any scroll functionality and the continue button isn’t showing up within the window?
Seems like a bit of a simple thing to insert a scroll functionality does it not?
My feedback is the same as the last time the Funcom Launcher was introduced: please don’t make me launch a launcher from a launcher and then launch the game from the launcher I launched from a launcher
I like Funcom Launcher. It looks nice, seems to work, brings some really nice QoL features, and has a smaller memory footprint than Steam. On its own, it’s quite solid. The problem I have with it is that it’s not “on its own”.
When I open Steam, select a specific game, and click on “Play”, it’s because I want to play that game. Steam is my launcher for the games in my Steam library. I have Matryoshka dolls at home, I don’t need to simulate them on my computer
And yes, I know how to make a Windows shortcut to the Funcom Launcher. But that’s not a solution, for two reasons:
- I really shouldn’t have to do it, even though I know how.
- Even if I do it, when I run the Funcom Launcher, it’ll start Steam first.
I also know how to make a Windows shortcut to Conan Exiles itself, but again, it’ll launch Steam too. So what’s the point?
If Funcom Launcher was a standalone app, I would love using it. If it was optional to use it from Steam (without making my own shortcuts), I wouldn’t mind. But this is just… well… annoying.

Ok, if it makes mod management easier, thats nice. It would be even better to see if the mods work or have been updated.
This is really a terrible idea… the launcher… the movies… before you can start playing the game you can go to the loo, get a shower, walk the dog and get cup of coffee…
