They’re probably all asleep except for 2 people working on-call… Give it some hours.

Ive managed to log in for now. Just kept hard shutting down with the shift key and plenty of hope. Time will tell how long I get to play for. Just keep trying guys it’s a pain but I think It does work. Also try validating the game files on steam and doing a proper shutdown then try try again.
I kept trying to connect and then I managed to, but my game crashed and I’m trying again to connect with Funcom

Restarting the computer fixed it for me. I did this after a friend told me it worked. Give it a shot, GL all!
Had this happen to me tonight, screen & game just froze, and had to force-quit.
When I tried logging back in I just kept getting that “could not connect to Funcom Live services…” message.
Rebooted my PS4, still got the error message, and yet was actually able to re-log back in anyway.
Whereupon I was treated to seeing a jaguar kill me as the loading screen finished.
I was like 10 metres from my base, lol
Called it a night after that, GL all!
I don’t know if just time passed lead to it working, or completely power cycling the PC off & back on was the trick, but I’m able to make/play my SP game now.
Could have just been Steam being ***
Same, US East Coast - got kicked in the middle of the Wine Cellar - which is awesome.
Forced end to Conan, restarted Steam - was up long enough to complete the dungeon, got kicked again, calling it a night.

Hey Ignasi, was wondering if we could get an update? It’s been six hours and there still seems to be issues.
Since about 23 o’clock the Funcom server is down also here in the EU / Germany.
Why do we need this crap at all? We do not play on official servers, but on our own.
Don’t know what is going on with Funcom I have three servers. Every time there is an update its a disaster. People want to just play the game with out any issues. This time I am over it. Get your %^*# together funcom. That’s never going to happen ! So I say goodbye.

This issue hasn’t been resolved yet? It’s been, what 6 hours? Since this last update there has been more downtime than uptime. I understand alot of that had to do w mods needing to be updated, but damn, can’t even play the game online with or without mods.

whats happening and why its still not resolved?
Not sure. It happened to me earlier when logging on. I restarted steam and it worked. However, that wasn’t related. While I was playing the game froze and I had to do a hard shut down. Logged back on and got the cannot connect to funcom services. I’ve been getting that message ever since. Nothing I do works. I can’t even play single player because it tells me I’m using temporary mods and I need to restart the game. When I restart, it’s back to cannot connect to services. I deleted every single mod and restarted. Same message. Nothing works. The game is unplayable. Yet, some people can play?
I’m sure there will be another update to fix this. Which, in turn, will screw up all the mods and they will need to be updated again. I project the game will be playable in 2-3 days.
If you want to play off-line its still available, but because Funcom services can not connect on-lines not working
i had the problem, here is how i solved it 
opened command prompt
typed ipconfig /flushdns [enter]
relaunched the game…
