Bug Description:
Funcom Live Services not connecting - I’ve reinstalled TWICE to fix this. The moment I logout, I can no longer connect to funcom live services and have to reinstall conan exiles in order to play online.
Bug Reproduction:
It’s funcom live services - reproducability is this for me: Install Conan Exiles: Login to server. Play. Quit game for night. Login next day to ‘funcom live services cannot login’ repeat for 4 hours. Uninstall game. Reinstall login and play. Repeat the next day.
Seriously.
I shouldn’t have to reinstall Conan exiles everytime I close to game in order to be able to play it.
*Edit: I’ve checked firewall via both windows defender and my anti virus. Server I just setup is online, working and players are connecting without issue. Files verified, followed everything else - even resetting router fails to fix the issue beyond a reinstall.
just logged out of Conan itself and now steam is verifying files on it’s own, once thats done - I’ll close steam and kill everything in TM and then restart to see if it works. I think that is the only thing I haven’t done.
Yea, you can do it even while the game is running… I vaguely remember having something similar like a year ago and it was actually some broken authentication between steam and funcom causing it, not entirely sure why.
But whenever I got the unable to connect message I just rebooted Steam, didn’t even have to close the game and then hit play online again and it went through afterwards.
Hopefully it’s the same thing in your case and at the very least that’s a better temporary workaround than downloading 80 gigs every time… Though you could try signing out of steam completely and back in or even reinstalling Steam itself (you can just point to your existing library afterwards without having to reinstall everything). Maybe that would provide a more permanent solution
People on my server have had this issue we found verifying the integrity to clear it up. Also shutting down task manager does not work to clear this issue or looping start. Seems to be stuck in the cache I am looking into this further.
Yeah, didn’t help, even a full PC restart still not fixing it.
I’m tired of having to reinstall (the only thing that seems to fix this) everytime I want to play.
Yup, I’ve got a player having the same issue intermittantly - they’ve been able to just spam the login/retry login until it works.
I gave up after 4 hours of spamming retry/login.
I mark it upto the glorious powers that be failing to remove their stupid live services crap noone asked for. So thus, we have to beg them for some scraps to fix this piece of patchwork garbage.
