Our loyal and courageous steeds have been ignored ever since they were first introduced four and a half years ago.
We were promised in a live stream that we would get dye-able saddles. We never got them. Also some sort of saddle display stand would be much appreciated.
I personally am very satisfied with the color options we have, though I’m sure there are plenty of players that would like to see more options there. My personal favorite is buckskin, which we have, but I often go with white because it looks so good with my greater wolf.
The ability to transmog saddles would be nice too. Get the speed buff from one (I can’t remember which gives it, maybe the Noble saddle?) while having the appearance of your favorite (mine is definitely Poitain).
Just a little attention for our much beloved steeds would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much, Funcom.
Not quite. They promised they would consider it. It is something that would have been a lot easier to do before releasing them, and I don’t know why they did not foresee the demand for it.
It would make caparisons a lot more useful, since they get no bonuses at all.
Since you are making requests on horses, I’d toss in reversing their decision to add dongs on mares.
The Fashionist mod managed to make saddles dye-able. So it can most definitely be done. Though I can’t speak to how difficult / easy it would be since I know nothing about making or modifying video games.
Hopefully they can do something about my horse’s attitude while they’re at it. He loves running under limbs that are just the right height to smack me in passing and his passive/aggressive bs gets harder to take every day. I’m so tired of hearing things like “Are you sure we’re going in the right direction?”, “Maybe next time you could find some fresher berries?” or his latest favorite, “Have you gained weight?”
I’ve taken to calling him Elmer when he gets too grouchy and that shuts him up for a while but a real fix would be appreciated.
I also wouldn’t mind a fix that would keep him from jumping 10 feet whenever my wolf runs underneath him during combat (though granted I can’t see what’s going on. Maybe my wolf takes the opportunity to bite him where it hurts).
He jumped us off a small cliff one time doing that. Thankfully a small enough cliff we both survived.
I’ve never unlocked saddles up to SL. Just seems such a waste of time.
Look all MollyHatchet as you charge along and get stuck in a rock, surrounded by hyenas before you can get turned around and back out, then when you slide off the horse to do battle it runs away like a scared puppy.
I would prefer if they at least remembered that they changed the stamina mechanics and added exhaustion. Before, if another player knocked you off your horse in PvP with a single blow (and that’s all that’s needed, just 1 hit), you were left without stamina, but it regenerated almost instantly. Now, using a horse in PvP has become even more dangerous. If you are knocked off your horse, you will be exhausted = you are dead.
Balance and all that, but there should still be a grain of common sense. Either eliminate the loss of all stamina or ensure that the rider does not fly out of the saddle after a single successful blow.

I don’t really get into the undead stuff, just not my thing. But I have to admit I’d love to see an undead camel. I just can’t imagine how funny that thing would look.
It’s hard trying to make a regular camel fit in with my dark sorcery temple, undead army, undead cavalry of horses and rhinos and legion of undead zombies, hyenas and kappas. And yes the laughs are important aswell.
