Platform: Steam
Issue Type: Gameplay
Game Mode: Online Official
Server Type: PvE-Conflict
Map: Exiled Lands
Server Name: 1518
Mods: None
Bug Description:
Transfered from Official 6107 Isle of Siptah server with a full inventory. Spawned in on Official 1518 and nothing I had in my inventory transferred over.
Bug Reproduction:
Log in to #1518 and there is nothing in my inventory. Relogging did not change anything. Still have nothing I brought over from my IoS server.
Of course, I can’t login now because with 11/40 players, the server ping is already above 300 for me, so I am unable to provide a screenshot of my inventory on #1518 server. However, I was intuitive enough to screenshot my inventory before the transfer.
I had several accounts on 6107. None of them transferred to 1518. They are all just gone. I lost several on 1940 as well and that server did not merge. It’s like they were just deleted.
So, 24 days and still no response here or from my ticket. Even in Dune: Awakening, you guys offered people welcome back packages just for being gone for 60 days. A lot of folks were forced to transfer and lost everything in the process and so far it’s been 3+ weeks of slience.
You cannot do transfers while overencumbered period! You are clearly overencumbered in your picture. The overencumbered rule applied whether you did a server transfer manually or let Funcom do it for you with the exception that if Funcom does it and overrides the overencumberence you lose your inventory. Personally I bought 20 camels and placed them in animal pens giving me 600 (20 x 30) slots of extra inventory doing a manual transfer. When doing it manually I was prevented from doing the transfer if I didnt tick all the boxes, a better safe guard. That is honestly what you should have done.
I am sad to hear that you lost your inventory and sorry if I come of as harsh, however it was written out by Funcom and many Conan Exiles content creators explained this as well. Luckily, gaining back resources is fairly quick in Conan although annoying and you are on a Pve-C server so you can easily get back to full power without having to worry about the tier of your building sets.
This is not true if you waited and let funcom transfer you, you could have been loaded as much as possible. That is why I waited for it to happen and didn’t transfer myself early. I had every single slit possible loaded on my character and was probably 10000 times over the encumbrance limit and I transferred fine
Funcom never stated their forced transfers were executed the same way as manual transfers. I checked this multiple times to make sure. I wouldn’t have encumbered myself if that was the case. In fact, they gave a clear set of instructions on how to transfer everything, such as disbanding your clan and using personal thralls to carry extra resources and items.
I don’t view your statement as harsh, just incorrect. You are correct about regathering resources is easy, but that isn’t so true for exotic tools or thralls. Those take time and considering I have almost 3200 hours in Conan Exiles, I think I know what takes time and what doesn’t.
My last statement still rings true about Funcom giving out “welcome back packages” to Dune players who were gone for 2+ months. I should know, because I was one of them. They owned up to their blunder and compensated folks who returned. Would this sort of compensation also not apply to this situation?
I’m not sure why I haven’t received a single response about this 5 week old issue. Nothing. Just absolute silence, both here and from my support ticket. What is the deal Funcom?
This is my support ticket, which I issued back on May 5th. If you can’t fix it, then just say so. Ignoring it isn’t going to make it go away. I’ll just keep bumping this thread every day till we get a response. I say we because I’m not the only one who is dealing with this.
Another week and nothing but silence from Funcom. So, do I need to be a content creator with 300k or more followers before you’ll actually respond? See you all next week.
