If it does indeed become something Funcom no longer wants to make available, I wonder if they will let us transfer one more time before turning it off for good?
The relocation is one of the reasons that encouraged me to return, I am currently stuck in a ruthless Russian server and cannot return to the island. Transfer is essential for this genre of games.
Yeah, I doubt it will return. Too much of a problem and provides a severe disability to new players. It’s bad enough that they don’t lock player accounts to MAC addresses (unless you get banned) to prevent ALT accounts.
For pvp, theybwill have to return or some players have acces to better recipes. I am on Siptah and have the bulk plating and master qeapon fitting for dmg and AP, as well as beastials.
I belive they were stopped for the issues everyone was having, and 1 i accidentally did, duping a body. I had 5 tokens craft8ng, left to another server, and for some reaosn my bodynstayed behind with all mats, and i had the tranfer character. Reported asap as a bug. It costs me 3 of the 5 tokens as well.

Thanks for filling in the blanks.
I hope they come back! I only played the one character for the last year and got almost every recipe I wanted, and they got trapped between servers four days before transfers halted. If they don’t restore transfers my mightiest character ever will be just… gone.
They probably won’t turn them back on
though, I wouldn’t if I was them.
Think the dev post said “not sure if when and if they will return”
I hope they never come back or at the very least you can’t transfer items anymore. ruined official pvp servers.
Yeah I still can’t believe they allowed inventory transfer on PvP servers in the first place.
I am not interested in articles. I’m interested in the transfer with all the Emotes, recipes and all.
Funcom had another earlier game one of the Conans they did the same thing stopped character transfer for repair and later just stopped it. So yes it`s possible.
I think if it does comeback it should be as a paid service.
FC has need of income…
Free transfers were being used to server hop, raid then escape without repercussions.
So a small fee for a transfer will still allow legitimate transfers and provide income to FunCom, while being detrimental to en masse raider transfers.
It wont stop this bad behavior, but it would slow it down.
I know this will not be a popular suggestion. But it has worked for other games.
AFAIK most recipes from the Exiled Lands are able to be acquired on Siptah too, but a lot of them are RNG from vault chests and stuff so it’s easier to transfer from EL to Siptah once you’ve gotten them.
The bigger issue with transfers is people coming from Siptah to Exiled Lands as a lot of the gear on Siptah is really good compared to EL gear.
So it’s not that transfers themselves are the issue, it’s that people who don’t own Siptah thus not able to get those items is the issue. I think they should go back and make Siptah gear and also the delving bench able to be acquired on Exiled Lands now too.
Since the main goal with their new monetization is to prevent content from having to be paid for I think they should show some goodwill and make that change because Siptah is clearly something they’re looking to avoid by doing this new monetization.
They can keep the building sets and the slave armors, as well as the map itself as paid content, but just the in game acquired recipes and delving bench recipes would be great to have as an end game goal to acquire on the Exiled Lands.
Though my suggestion is quite hopeful and realistically not something they’d do. I would like transfers to return though simply because I do enjoy having the gear and recipes from Siptah but I prefer playing on Exiled Lands map more. A lot of those map specific recipes aren’t even powerful gear either, stuff like stygian Palisades and stuff would just be nice to be able to acquire them in both maps.
That would be P2W. Either kill it because it’s too disruptive or embrace it because of the QoL improvement it brings to players but they just need to make a decision.
I don’t think that’s pay to win, it’s more like a tax on cheaters.
If you are going to raid, you should have to stay where you can be raided back.
If you want to run like a coward, you should pay for it.
Lots of games make you pay to transfer.
Well if that’s the case, charge $0.10/ inventory space item. The transfer is free, the loot will cost you the inter-server exchange service fee.
If they do come back with 3.0 they should use the battle pass seasons to limit the amount of transfers to x amount per season. It would make people to commit to a server for longer than just raid than bail. I still firmly believe that only your basic kit and and building mats should transfer too. Dragon powder, bombs, god tokens etc should not be transferable and should have to be farmed up after you server hop. Just my opinion.
It’s not about being a coward, playing alone against 5 players is impossible. When the enemy inspects the map to find you many times, you don’t have the opportunity and time to prepare for an offensive attack. It is kind of you to think about the economic return for the company. However, it is not fair for a person to pay because of an unbalanced game.
I have played alone against five and more other players.
I don’t think you are understanding what I am saying.
The last time I was raided, the raiders got almost nothing, because I do things in such a way my real stash was overlooked. Misdirection.
Normally I would have hunted them found them and returned the favor.
But these raiders transferred onto the server, waited out the timer so they could escape, then raided everyone on the server, and transferred away with whatever loot they could get from the other people on the server, I think @Barnes and I and one other, were the only people who didn’t lose much.
This group was followed by a second group, who raided all the bases the first group couldn’t
I wasn’t effected this time because Barnes and I had stopped playing after we were unable to seek revenge on the first group.
It basically killed the server.
Later I found out these types of offline raider cowards go from server to server, offline raiding everyone.
Then transferring back to their home server, where they are safe from the consequences of their actions. These are the people I’m calling cowards. Because they game the transfer system to off line raid with impunity.
And a small fee for a transfer is nothing new, in fact Conan Exiles is the only game I have ever played that didn’t charge for a transfer. And I have played a great deal of multiplayer games in the twenty years I’ve been playing them.
I’m only suggesting a small fee to transfer, as a way to reduce the abuse of the transfer system by offline raiders who are too cowardly to face the consequences of their actions.
I like the inventory slot fees. It keeps the heart of transfer in a free state where you can put your character into a different map for free but each item you take with you costs real $.
Oh that’s good too.
