People will rather farm on dead servers instead of risking encounters - that is faster (full farm build), safer, easier to cheat / exploit / dupe or just use bots to farm.
There will be less pvp encounters, less fights for resources / spots which will kill whole point of pvp server.
People will exploit it to ground. Abuse window is so huge as you can pack FULL inventory of 20000 Dragonpowde (Enc build) with just one person and one account. Imagine what You can do with 10 man clan, everyone with 2-5 accounts. Add to that dead servers with bodyvaulted thousands of items which probably have been farmed exploiting.
Cheaters, exploiters and toxic players will have more room to switch and grief players. One year ago it was disaster if we speak about those people but it got better, with 2.5 update and server transfer it will get even worse than it was before.
I suggest to disable PvP to PvP server trasfer, disable item transfer or atleast limit it to equipment / hotbar - no inventory. No action will lead to more frustration and make battlefield even less fair.
Please keep discussion calm and civil - I don’t want another thread to be closed, developers needs to know about this issue as it will be LAST nail in the coffing for conan exiles pvp official servers.
How about players that want to switch to get away from toxic clans?
You are predicting more toxic clans will take over dead servers. Others noobs may show up on the server and may not notice the difference between toxic clans and the alpha clan. A disaster.
Well then it’s fine, grab just armor, few tools and you are free to go. Taking too much stash and running away SHOULD NOT be an option, if you getting raided and losing you should not be able to run with everything by doing 2 clicks - that will trivialise raiding and whole premise of game.
It’s instant but even if that wasn’t, it still does not solve problems which i pointed in main post. Limiting it to equipment / hotbar only on PvP to PvP servers.
Even last night, most official pvp server were 1/40 pop. It’s already begun. They are gonna farm up and then wombo a new server then Transfer back to their dead farm server lmao
I still can have multiple accounts and be able to transfer almost weekly, together with clan we can do it almost daily. I think only option is to disable inventory transfer (only armor and toolbar) but let’s see what other people thinks about it.
I fail to understand how some toxic clans transferring to dead servers is a problem. It could even give a new life to server that was dead. And if those clans transfer back, after 7 days, to their former server… Well, they could find other clans have done the same trick and they aren’t as much advantaged as they thought.
Not toxic clan transfering to dead server, use your imagination, i can see what’s problem there, you don’t have enough of imagination to understand how it can be abused.
Toxic clan may have many alts on many dead servers with stashed TONS of "illegally’ gained bombs / god tokens etc, and they can just transfer it to populated servers. They can use another alts to farm on dead servers safely (the point of pvp servers is to compete for resources and fight and will never happen again thanks to this) bring it to populated servers and wipe anyone. BY ALTS i mean alt accounts, that way you can transfer many times with help of clan for example.
Disabling inventory transfer – or limiting it only to what you’re wearing and what you have in your hotbar – sounds like the best solution.
Another thing that might be interesting is if every transfer were logged in the event log, under the “Server” category, visible to anyone. The log would show the character name and the server of origin. That way, if you were raided by Mighty Oglaf on server 1234, you can check if his name appears in the log and which server he came from, and then go wreak havoc there.
As long as this is only in PvP, and if that is what the PvP community want, then that is absolutely 100% fine with me good buddy. But for PvE servers and Singleplayer mode, hard resounding no.
Of course only for pvp as there’s raid feature and main premise of this servers is to compete. On PvE and PvE-C I don’t see issue with server / item transfering.
Even though I really do not care what happens on PVP servers, and mostly agree with what you say, this part does not make much sense.
Are people really willing to go to a dead server, fill their own pack and then wait
> SEVEN
days to go back?
You would have to be a pretty desperate clan to do that, IMO.
Or maybe I just do not have don’t have enough of an imagination to understand.
Be surprised at what lengths s9me go through to avoid conflict and cheese a “victory” on raid servers. I have logged 3 to 4 days in a row, been trashed talked to by “Alpha” and their allies. Tell them to come and try and raid so we can pvp, and they waited until we basically quit due to boredom to offline raid an empty dumped base. So yeah, 7 days is nothing if they think they can stream themselves dropping 6 gods on an offline raid
