Hello,
In your Newsletter you asked what you could do to improve your streaming content.
About Conan Exile, you should focus on pratical things rather than trying to have a seductive speech (which is accompanied by the useless presence of your social media specialist who only serves to hide your technical gaps by masking them under a nice speech). Its only presence is in line with the false excuses to which you have accustomed us like: “We have in the past been too quick to fix bugs, now we will patch only once every 1.5 months it is more reasonable!” You can feel the fake in advance and… All this looks so artificial that is running out of breath and, above all, is so visible.
I think you would have more positive feedbacks, if you communicate on your pratical progress in fixing all the bugs known since the early access version (recipes impossible to carft because the item is not implemented, disappearances and objects depop , problems of bearing capacity of buildings, bad settings of the ruins system etc…) and which are still present because the released version of the game is always the same as in the early access phase one…
Focus on the lore and narrative content that is sorely lacking! With a universe as rich as this one, it is a pity to be faced with something so empty in terms of story ! Finish correctly the areas already in the game rather than adding new half-finished areas (for example the volcano whose hit boxes were surreal when it opened…). Think and design your dungeons properly rather than turning them into vulgar mob bashing mazes without interest, without story, without reality… Communicate on your pratical corrections because for the moment, these streams are nothing more than smoke and mirrors, empty advertising, like a pasteboard set from old cowboy movies.
Yet this game has such fabulous potential and you have so good ideas. Please finish what you started before you start doing big jobs!
It’s not just about attracting new players, but also about keeping the already acquired community that is running away (and that is ready to buy your dlcs if it doesn’t feel like a bunch of idiots…). The community who support you from the begining is fleeing not for lack of novelty but for lack of corrections and after seeing that you have launched a game that is not finished!
The “social media” speech does not forever compensate for the real shortcomings.
Sincerely, however.
