Game Crash don't know what to do

I need help, haven’t played for awhile but when I went to log in this is what I got.
I have no mods installed, the mod folder is empty.

Fatal error:
Sandbox.cpp][Line: 332]
Mounted paks num[52] not equal to expected paks num[51]. Please
verify your installation

Hi Badwolf71, welcome. I’m just another player. Before accepting any free advice on the internet, please ensure your computer files are backed up and that you feel competent to make changes to files within your system.

To verify your files via Steam:

  1. Steam | Library -> Right-click Conan Exiles
  2. Click Properties, select the Local Files tab
  3. Click Verify Integrity of Game Files…

There is another item that used to cause issues 6-8 months ago, but it will require viewing and editing a .ini file, which no responsible tech would post without first receiving consent, and assessing competency level from you. If Verify process has not cleared up this Fatal issue and your broadband connection is adequate, it is sometimes more advisable to uninstall via Steam and then reinstall.

Hi, I have the same problem, the verification didn´t help, reinstal via Steam did not help either. What to do?

▼ Clean Install

This seems to be a catchall solution for many issues. It’s probably not best to start with this due to the time it takes to download and install. If you can’t find a solution below, this is your best bet.

First secure your current gamesave as it will be forever lost upon deleting Conan Exiles. Create a folder outside the Conan Exiles folder, and give it a name that is easy for you to remember. Go to:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Saved

Copy all the ‘Data Base Files’, game_backup_xx and paste them in the folder you just created.

How it’s done: Please note that simply reinstalling the game as you might do under normal circumstances is not going to fix most issues. To do a clean install, please navigate to the following location:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\

Delete the “Conan Exiles” folder that you find here, and then try installing the game through Steam as you would normally do. Note that this is the default install location. Your install location may be different choose to manually specify the install location.
