New player to AO but I can’t get the game working. I can create a character and start the game proper, but it crashes as soon as I start walking. I’m running Windows 11. I read online that larger resolutions can cause issues so I set it to the smallest that showed the entire screen (1280x600), but that did not work. I selected my graphics card from the dropdown and tried Direct3D T&L HAL, Direct3D HAL, and RGB Emulation modes, but none of those worked. I tried fullscreen, windowed, borderless, but none of them worked.
I also tried setting every single executable in the directory to Windows XP SP2 compatability mode, as was suggested in these forums, but that did not work either.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get this game working? I’d rather not have to download an extra program like dgvoodoo2.
