Platform: Steam
Issue Type: Gameplay
Game Mode: Single Player
Server Type: PvE
Map: Exiled Lands & Siptah
Server Name: None
Mods: None
Bug Description:
Conan Exiles becomes unresponsive when attempting to load into single-player or co-op, and does not proceed to load as normal. The yellow loading progress bar fills the entire dark loading bar, but does not complete the load and place me in-game. Conan itself does not crash, but instead is unresponsive and has to be force-closed via Task Manager.
I asked my community if they were experiencing the same problem, some had no issues and others had the same as myself. To rectify this, I tested with and without mods, verified my game’s files, and tried launching the game on a different Steam account to no avail. A friend faced the same issue and managed to get past it after waiting for 45 minutes, however after waiting close to 2 hours, that solution did not work for me. I am able to load onto multiplayer servers though.
Bug Reproduction:
1: Boot the game after AOH Hotfix 1 (4th Nov 2024)
2: Select Single Player or Co-Op, continue, then select your map and confirm
3: Wait for the loading bar to fill
4: Program becomes unresponsive and does not load
I have tried 3 times to load. It takes a long time for the loading bar to complete, but it appears to hang there. In two cases I left it running for about 15 mins to no avail.
I have the exact same issue, I tried multiple times to log in with and without mods, after verifying the game files each times.
I even reinstalled the game as a last resort when I noticed there was a patch note from yesterdaty.
So I’m sure now it’s due to that patch.
Reassurance from funcom that a fix is in the works would go a long way for user and player retention. Without the efforts of amazing community of non funcom employees we would be up the styx without a paddle, instead of having paddle missing
Hello Eradicati0n,
love your YT-Content. I got the same issue after the last hotfix. There are lots of full decorated buildings and about 21 mods in use, the db-game-file is about 40MB. It is a mess to lose all the work after this hotfix. Love the game and spend a lot of money to Funcom in the bazzar, but this is the end for the game, if Funcom can´t fix this issue for good. It´s like December 2023 when the game banned you for buying bazzar items in the past. Will you make YT-Video about this issue? Maybe adressed directly to Funcom? Thank you for your work and this topic.

I have been trying to login to the single player official server for 5-6 hrs and the same thing happens , timeout {12-15 min} Then i get a message ‘you can still play single player offline’. Like many others I have played many hours that I do not wish to lose. I only have 7 mods and never had any problems. First time in about 10 months that I decided to revisit the exiled lands and now this crops up.

I am still trying to log in, Why won’t this game logon to funcom. Why does it seem that not many have this problem or were able to fix it courtesy of Testerle. In this iteration I have 630 odd hours invested, damned if I am going to start over, not again, No.
Greetings Eradicati0n!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
First, we would like to suggest that you completely uninstall your mods and reinstall the game. Then, please verify your files by going to your Conan Exiles on Steam → right click it and go to ‘‘Properties’’ → Installed Files → and click to ‘‘Verify integrity of game files’’.
If the issue persists, consider doing a backup of your saved files and folders, then delete your original saved files and run a ‘‘Verify integrity of game files’’ again. Go back to the game and see if everything is okay. If it is, load your saved files again (that you’ve backed up) and see if everything is fixed.
If the issue continues, please send us your logs. You can find them by following:
