FUNCOM YOU NEED TO ADDRESS THIS & TAKE ACTION! šŸ“¢

@Community @den @OnlyDopamine

I feel like this has gone on for long enough. Things are getting out of hand here. We have had dozens of members, spanning all 3 platforms reporting a meteoric increase in crashes at best, and being stuck with certifiably unplayable games and losing their bases at worst. And a handful of specific exceptions aside, most of these reports are being met with a wall of silence, which is a flagrant contradiction of your recent pledge to communicate better. I do not give a damn what anyone says: we are paying customers and we bought the game, and every person who owns a copy should be able to load the game and PLAY it. Not be stuck with a broken product that no longer works at all, as a result of Funcomā€™s updates/patches. Posted (below) is a list of all of the threads I could find which have reported these issues.

You need to take action on this. Do you feel this situation is fair and reasonable? You all pledged to communicate better, correct? Get off your cans and communicate with your loyal community of paying customers: extend decay timers, make a statement including suggested recourses and provide a tentative/interim estimate when we can expect a fix. Whatever it is do something.

Disclaimer: please note that I have done my best to discern the threads I checked and to only post ones relevant to the issues described. However I am not perfect and some may or may not have been erroneously posted which do not pertain to the issue. In any such case this is purely accidental.

Iā€™d also like to add that those of us who are renting gportal servers are losing paid time in addition.

By all means @phoenixcommand. I have never had the pleasure of being a Server Admin (more of an Offline Singleplayer myself), so I am not intimately familiar with the inner workings of renting one. But when you are paying good money to rent a service, it should be in in good working order. In much the same way that if we are renting a car or tools and hardware, there is an expectation that it actually works.

Is the game dying? I donā€™t think so. but he gets injured. A total of 40 people spend time in this forum. Apart from that, there are some people who come and share. It seems to me that we are few in number. There must have been 50000 people here. We complain that Funcom does not listen to us, but we are 40 people :frowning: I think this community is small.

Also, as a result of some events, I saw tribes that I thought would never leave, leaving. They no longer have a base there. Theyā€™re gone, Iā€™m talking about PVE. ā€œRangerā€ did not come to our server, but there were people who left the game in the process.

We are getting fewer and fewer :frowning: More people are leaving. Iā€™m worried. There is a cost to keep the servers open. And they only make money by selling the game. Itā€™s not an MMO RPG, after all, there is no premium or plus package. This game can be unplugged.

The number of people using this forum may have dropped, but that is a direct consequence of being so blatantly ignored for so long by the company we have paid to provide a service.

This is still a ridiculous number of reports that people are unable to even play the game we have all paid for. How many others have simply given up in silence?

It is high time that Funcom lived up to its pledges for better communication and, more importantly, lived up to the implied contract that when a game is purchased it should be possible to actually play.

Never been more then a couple hundred at best.
On average only about 10% player ever make it to a forum, and itā€™s doubtful that is all on the same forum/discord.

The issue is what is left here now is either new players or hard core, to the bone, Conan players. Most have either moved on or gave up on this forum.

I agree up to ā€œpaid to provide a serviceā€, we are not paying for those servers and that maybe the issue.

I has become abundantly clear this wont happen. funcomā€™s people are too busy arguing about pineapple on pizza in the Dune discord to give a rats squeak about us.

Many of those unable to play (including the OP) are in singleplayer - Iā€™m not talking about the servers - Iā€™m talking about being able to access the game.

This part is not accurate. They make money from every DLC sold, but by and far the vast majority of their monetary income comes from the BLB. THAT is where Funcom makes their money off of Conan Exiles.

I would have to disagree with you here for one reason. They have said when they introduced the BLB that the money they generate from the sales there would PAY for future update and content. Thus, WE ARE paying to provide a service. A service which is not being provided (not even with the content on the the BLB for that matter let alone with the updates).

I think they are all busy wuth duneā€¦

Dune is one of the causes this game being abandoned.

They dl t have the respurces for CE. This is clear based on their recent (lack) action

I wonder if they are doing this on purpose ?

To kill their own game ?

I really cant understand why thwy are behaving like this.

I wish to understand.

I really do.

Speculation of course. While it may be on purpose it could be that management doesnā€™t see a financial benefit in spending what it would take to ā€œfixā€ CE versus what they would potentially gain by doing so.

As in, would cost more to fix than itā€™s worth.

My friend, I wish it could be simple, I really do.

Iā€™m with you, despite this particular issue not affecting me I know the impact it has.

Then perhaps they need to be shown that the cost of not fixing it may be higher than they anticipate.

@Cauthey built this amazing bridge across a ravine, and it was a wonderful utility for the server. I finished it for his birthday, in DLC glory which he at the time did not own. It was splendid.

Months later the landclaim rules were implemented. And in response, I cried, and I dismantled that bridge. And while I was at it, I dismantled everything, and quit the server.

I quit on behalf of all the barbarians who would be affected by such an ill-considered and frankly, ruthless ruleset. Since then, loads of my pals have been harmed, banned, besmirched, and as much as I want to play I canā€™t until these sorts of mercurial decisions that persist to this day are stabilized, or at least explained.

You donā€™t give me a reason to and we wont argue about rule sets, K?

Well it must be!
Yes, there are not good chances anymore for this game to go higher especially in a long buggy route all these years, the bad reputation prevailsā€¦
But when it completely breaks on single player people rightfully ask for refundā€¦
Refunds however are not the solution, Refunds are bandaids. Fixing the game is the only solutionā€¦
Not to attract new players anymoreā€¦
But to show respect to the ones who fund it all these yearsā€¦

You cannot force FC to do anything unless youā€™re the one holding their coin purse and only if they are legally bound to you.

Sorry to bust your bubble but thatā€™s the truth.

Thankyou so kindly your solidarity in my, no make that our, hour of need @DanQuixote! Unfortunately I am in agreement with you here. And this applies to not only bug reports, but game feedback as a whole.

Exactly. This many people who purchased the game, most of which are now unable to even play the game. And this is just the people who thought to search out the forum and creste an account to report it.

Being rendered completely and utterly incapable of even loading and playing the game is a whole other ball park. This needs to be fixed, and it needs to be made a priority.

Well considering that people continuing to purchase things from the BLB is what ā€œkeeps the lights onā€ as they love to phrase it I would say that yes, we do in fact ā€œhold their coin purseā€.

So ā€œsorry to bust your bubble but thatā€™s the truthā€ as you so eloquently put it.

That being said, until people STOP BUYING CROM COINS AND SPENDING THEM IN THE BLB then FC will see no reason to continue with their ā€œbusiness as usualā€ mentality.

Gee you dont say captain obvious. I like most people have long filed that one under the ā€˜bloody obviousā€™ category. I could copy this generic assed response and paste and apply it to (almost) any thread here on the forum. No but I can incite and urge them, and hope that they will listen. And if they wish to retain players, it is their interests to return the game to being in working order. Our alternative is that me and the dozens of other affected community members sit here and smile like passive little doormats while the item we purchased remains UNPLAYABLE. Take a wild guess which option I will electā€¦? If you personally dislike this decision then free to remove yourself from the situation. You are not obligatted to remain here. Plenty of other threads out there which can accomodate your usually incoherent banter.

I find similar reasons to dislike people that buy credits in other mmos. Everyone bashes the gold sellers but they wouldnt exist if people didnt buy it.

If everyone stopped buying BLB stuff, even for a month or 2, it would send a strong message.

Prolly a buncha freeloaders at the top somewhere making $ for 0 effort that will notice a drop in their finances lol
