Not to take any sides here, but I’m wondering if the two of you are using the word “automatic” in different ways. Since I’m a programmer, I tend to see “automatic” and interpret it as “automated”, but those are two different concepts, and the former doesn’t always imply the latter.
Admittedly, the use of the word “triggers” seems to imply automation, but maybe the intended meaning was “if enough reports come in within a short period, a ban and devwipe will be enacted without any further investigation”?
It’s a lot more plausible if you take a broader look at the levels of support the players have been getting lately. When it takes almost two weeks to even get a cookie-cutter “we’re looking at it” answer to a thread that compiles a staggering number of reports from people unable to play single-player, when it takes 6 days to get the attention of a customer service representative on a question about BattlEye problems in the Game Pass edition and even then the reply is “hey, can you check this thing that someone already told you to check and you already confirmed wasn’t a solution”, is it such a reach to assume that the server admins might not bother actually investigating reports?
