Single player game crashing during the load screen

Bug Description:
Game was working fine. Exited, then tried loading back in at a later time and it crashes during load. Loading bar goes right to the end then just before the game loads it crashes and exits. I can load siptah single player and I can go online, but my single player exiled lands just keeps crashing. Tried deleting local and pulling the files as well as clearing cache, neither worked.

Bug Reproduction:
Try to load single player exiled lands game, crash during load screen.

Load up Exiled Lands on a different server type, such as Official, then try loading up your single player save

Been dealing with this for weeks ever since age of heros launched. Finally started over on Isle of septa with a new game and it worked fine and then today it crashed and I lost everything started a new game and it works perfect I’ve been chatting with people for weeks trying to figure it out, but there’s hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of people with the same issue. I’m on an Xbox series X I’ve been playing mostly on a single server solo mode. The only thing I can figure is my size of my build and thrall population limit got too much for the servers to handle and the new update crashed everything

There’s lots of different speculation of help help tips to try. I did all of them numerous times and none of it has worked. If you had a particularly large build going with too many thralls more than likely the living thralls update is what’s causing your crash. this is just my speculation. It makes no sense that you can start a new game and it worked just fine when you start from scratch, clearly, there’s something bugged out with the living thralls.

I really dont want to restart and lose everything…

Still holding out hope they are going to patch this :frowning:

It’s single player, don’t panic. Admin mode can replace everything you’ve lost. I keep a handwritten list of every thrall in my follower list as well as use transfer character to create a backup of my EL character on Siptah.

Yeah i tried that. I can play official or my siptah character, but my exiled lands save wont load.

You stil lose your builds, items and event stuff though right? The amount of time ive put in to ky world i really dont want to lose it all and start over

Nope. Event crafting patterns are in the admin panel. I’ve nuked my server a few times when I can’t be bothered tearing down a large build. Treat the game as if building isn’t a chore, check out a few builds in the gallery or on YouTube or real life architecture to inspire you, or rebuild your old base in a different tile set.

So i was able to load in eventually yesterday. When it loads it works fine, no lag, stutter, etc.

It seems like it loads in maybe 10% of the time otherwise it crashes on load screen, but when it does load it works fine.

Try dispersing a few thralls and reducing the size of your primary base so everything isn’t concentrated in the one area. Probably a good idea to keep your build size total (blocks used) roughly the same, reduce where you can, ie torches.

So this makes no sense, but holding a movement stick makes it load. Holding nothing it crashes.
