No matter what setting I choose from potato to ultra high end the game ghosts like heck making it impossible to play beacause it makes me sick. I have a 244 hz monitor and a GeForce RTX 2080 ti with a 9900k processor. All WELL over the suggestions on this game. However no matter what i do cap framerate or change settings and such it just doesnt work. it just looks bad. Any suggestions?
Does it look bad if you log in singleplayer? Also not sure what you mean by “ghosts”.
say i’m looking at rock number 1, then point my screen at rock number 2. the whole scene my whole viewport creates copies so to speak not moving it fluidly as it should.
EDIT: Its sp, mp, dedicated server, private server, anywhwere i log in.
This could potentially be due to the anti-aliasing system in the game. I know this was causing some strange ghosting for me previously. Try disabling AA.
AA disabled it still ghosts, i have been able to lower the effect by lowering my refresh rate quite a bit, down to about 40hz it does not like 244hz at all.
How long have you been playing the game / how long has the game had this behaviour for you? Just curious if this issue cropped up after the recent update or if you’re new to the game.
Totally new to the game. Never played it before, dont even reemember buying the game but it was in my steam so i tried it out. like i said i got the ghosting down quite a bit, it still ghosts a bit, but if my monitor is set to 244hz its totally unplayable.
is V-synch turned on or off ? this will cause issues of that as well if it is not turned on, and the game wants to run at 60HZ as an example and the monitor is trying to do 244hz…with V-synch on, it synchs everything…
it does it with vsync on or off. but like i said i was able to “slow” down my monitor and the ghosting wasnt “horrible” it was manageable enough to play.
