This is the current edition.
Win10-64Bit-Radeon-Software-Adrenalin-2019-Edition-19.10.1-Oct7.exe
One of the things I discovered that has been a major contributor to lockups was the AMD User Experience Program. That seemed to be at the root of the majority of frequent game freezes and whole system lockups which the only escape was a hard reset.
Once I left that program (unchecking the box and confirming), the system and game seems to have mostly stabilized.
At least now, the crash happens far less frequently and the game manages to eventually exit without the need for a hard reset. At least the event has a chance to generate a report to send to the development crew.
A few were the Fatal Error reports mentioned in another thread.
Others have been the ālost connection to the serverā.
Lately, the most recent crashes seems concurrent with losing connection to the server. These have often occurred during the first few minutes of game play.
At least it seems I can get right back into the game without further issue and it seems to run fairly stable for the duration of the session.
However, on a few inconsistent occasions, I get a crash that reflects the very one youāre describing. (where it seems the game loses track of my character location).

Look at the dates.
The log is FULL of it from the first entry to the last entry.
IDENTICAL ENTRIES ON THE LOG FILE.
I cannot copy and past the full log here⦠itās too damned long.
BUT
EVERY DAY I played this game and EVERY TIME THE GAME LOCKED UP.
I canāt tell you how much I hate the idea of a 32bit program trying to keep track of a 64bit program.
Hard lockup just occurred about 15 minutes ago. No warning signs.
I left it alone for that duration (going afk) to find it still locked up when I returned.
No other choice than forcing a hard reset (power off and reboot).
No error reports, nothing.
Happened again.
Near Dustdevil Ridge, after 20 minutes in game.
I was being chased by a rocknose was heading toward another rocknose to start a train heading up into Dustdevil Ridge when the game locks up. (forcing a HARD RESET).
When I get back in, I find myself being attacked by a Dafari canibal AT THE SUMMONING PLACE.
The only thing is that I was heading toward The Summoning Place (but was not near it) when the game locked up. (FORCING A HARD RESET).
THE ENGINE LOST TRACK OF MY LOCATION.
You know what a HARD RESET is, right?
You have to shut off the power ⦠and REBOOT.
JUST HAPPENED AGAIN.
Outside of Sinnerās Refuge.
Night time. Some time before midnight (Moon not at maximum height in the sky).
I get back in and Iām at my last location WHERE THE GAME LOCKS UP.
(FORCED HARD RESET REQUIRED).
@Hugo, I think the last five reports have given me enough information (as an outsider) that would tell me Vahlokās events are likely logged, and could be useful to other users. @Vahlok, hang loose, and please refrain from having to hard reset your PC, itās terrible for the resale value.
I would normally (and lately) hold off doing a hard reset.
But in once instance, the whole system was locked up for the duration of me being AFK until I returned about 20 minutes later. I had NO choice.
It just happened again.
In the first 10 minutes ā¦ā¦
I was at my ābaseā on the noob river and as I was running to my fish trap
the game locks up and locks up my system.
Iām forced to do a hard reset.
I run a repair program.
I finally get back in game ⦠AND
find myself completely across the river and under a waterfall.
Several weeks ago I removed the older power supply (which was sufficient and functioning fine) and replaced it with a brand new, more powerful and upgraded power supply (at a much higher cost).
Just a few minutes ago, about 40 minutes into the game, without any warning the game locks up and locks up my machine again.
Now, when this has been happening Iāve been running a repair program to determine what malfunctioned and might have been causing these events which ultimately causes whole system instability. When this program runs, it pulls pristine Windows 10 replacement files from a databank library and replaces the corrupted or damaged files.
It then reruns the test to ensure the fix has worked and has returned the system to stability.
The repair program has been identifying damaged/corrupted files in ESENT, VSS and Third Party Apps. Although I get no clear ID of the Third Party App, I have my suspicions since the instability occurs only when playing Conan Exiles.
What ever it is, itās also affecting my Windows 10 system, but whether or not it has any direct relation to corrupting the affected files is something that seems beyond my scope of understanding. This issue has been spilling over into another game where normally, it never has before. The only reason I can think of thatās causing a spillover is because what is at the root of the issue is also affecting the Primary Windows 10 file system which is common to both games.
It acts almost like a virus. (To date, no virus or malware has been detected).
Whatever it is, it seems to be at the root of causing system instability because the instability occurs when I run Conan Exiles.
Iām having a similar problem as Vahlok, except for the hard reset. Iām getting near crashes this morning for zero reason just trying to log into the game, Iām running an FX -8350 black cpu and an Nvidia GT 710 gpu so there seems to be an issue with coding for the gameā¦
Game locked up again just inside Deathwhisper Ruins.
Everything was locked up.
However, after waiting about 3 minutes the game started functioning again.
NOTE:
This particular lockup occurs during solo mode and has occurred 4 times since beginning a solo mode yesterday.
