Game won't launch through Steam

I have the game through Steam, I click the play button but nothing happens, I tried to verify the integrity of the game files but nothing happened, all other games in my library launch just fine

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:
1.click on Conan exiles in my game library
2.click the play button
3.game does not launch
4.click on verify integrity of game files in the game properties-nothing happens

Sorry for the issues, Sarge. Did you have Steam place a shortcut on your desktop and does it work from there?

System specs? Verify your virus protection isn’t stopping something on launch attempt? Tried using the .exe directly from the install folder ( which is in -> \steamapps\common\Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Binaries\Win64\ConanSandbox.exe )?

No I didn’t, I launch the game through the steam page, but I’ll try to set up a desktop shortcut. Thanks

I’ve been playing this game for quite a while so its not my system specs, I initially thought it might be my virus protection as well, I just recently added some extra protection, I have Norton, I can’t seem to find out if that’s the problem or not, I’ll try going through the .exe directly. Thanks

This worked, the game launched, so I’m going to try what Jim suggested and place a shortcut on my desktop to see if that works and just bypass steam.

Glad you have a way to get in ! That still leaves a question of the difference between launching other games within Steam and CE, though.

May I suggest you submit a trouble ticket directly to Steam describing what works and what does not work?

It appears directly related to Steam and if you are comfortable with launching there with other games, might as well keep it that way.

I actually tried Steam support but because the issue seems related only to CE they won’t do anything.
