So I stop playing since Siptha entered test approximately and now come back and cant seen to find the answer on forum either: so gossamer is now only gatherable by hand again?
Some time ago, pickaxe would gather better, then it got changed to sickle, and now reverted to gather by hand only?
Is that it, or is there some other tool to gather gossamer?

Cant believe I didnt find out, you are right, it was just a matter of positioning! Now went back home with 500+ gossamer.
So if you want to make sure you can gather every node. Swing then crouch mid-swing. This works with a pick on crystals in Siptah as well.
