Is there a way I can get rid of this process entirely and make my own modlist file that I can just change as I please from my own copy and paste skills and then just load into servers that way instead of going through this whole freaking annoying ■■■ process? I honestly detest it and would prefer to have more control over my game files and modlist then wait for this checking…ok…connect
Yes. Disable the auto download mod feature, then edit your modlist.txt as needed. It can be done in-game, but if you want to have multiple mod lists, it’s best to edit the actual ini and keep various copies. Modlist.txt can be found ------>
\steamapps\common\Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Mods
Just have multiple copies of your modlist.txt on hand, and rename them as you need to. For example
- modlist_RPServer.txt
- modlist.txt (this is your active one)
- modlist_PvPServer.txt
Then when ready to switch ---->
- modlist.txt
- modlist_PvEServer.txt
- modlist_PvPServer.txt
Obviously, your mod load order must match the server EXACTLY. But it’ll be easy to maintain once you get the hang of it. I’ve used this setup for a very long time as a mod author for when I need to test my mods.
