At least give us back the option to reroll the battle pass challenges. It could be called “Weekly Reroll Token” that is refilled every single week as the new challenges arrive. How many we could have from this? I don’t know. Maybe 3 token could be fine in my opinion. Not too much and not too few.
Beatcha to it just earlier today @Reyik!
But I do not mind. Glad I am not the only one who feels this way. ‘Liked’ & supported.
Since Croms_Faithful has a thread on this already, I’m going to take the opportunity to use this thread as a bit of investigation.
I’m seeing quite a few complaints about the challenge system. Whether they have a hard time finding something in the challenge, or the object is on a different map (very legitimate concern I would add), and a few like in this thread asking to reroll them.
My concern with the idea of rerolling is that of redundancy. How much benefit will it actually give? What I would like to know is why is there so much laser focus on the challenges?
The reason I ask this question is the 7,500xp given by the three challenges every week while beneficial, only really save about a day off of completing the battlepass.
Given that that the daily cap is 8,000xp, unless you’re playing the game in very sporadic intervals, completing the Battlepass can be done in seven to fourteen days. Giving you at most 1 or 2 chances to complete the challenges. The challenges bypass the daily BP exp limit. Giving you a chance of obtaining 63.500xp for a week, but you only need 60,000 to complete the Battlepass.
With a little effort (and I do mean a little, as in you just need to focus your efforts for a little bit) everyone can complete the Battlepass in 7 days plus challenges, 8 days without challenges.
Given that time frame, a reroll option seems quite redundant. I would feel like changing the challenges to be map agnostic would result in more positive outcomes for everyone than a reroll option (which could reroll to a worse challenge).
But in the discussions I’ve had about this it appears that the completion of the battlepass is actually secondary to the challenges. I can only speak from a personal taste, but if the challenges didn’t break the daily cap of BP exp, I wouldn’t even bother with them. But how many of you are chasing the challenges after the Battlepass is completed?
Totally agreed.
The weekly challenge has become an extra to the main dish which is called daily XP, which you gain almost freely. Weekly challenges can be ignored completely.
I don’t have time to play every day, and my weekends tend to be busy, too. So having a way to quickly grab some Battle Pass exp is a boon. It’s just when I need to spend several hours on a wild goose chase, it’s no longer a time-saver.
Now, I guess this is where Funcom/Tencent wants me to buy the Battle Pass levels. Well, I won’t.
I dont see a problem personally with map agnostic or challenge rerolling considering playing the game makes progressing much quicker anyway. It might need some tweaking on the award xp a little bit, but I don’t see a fundamental problem. Its not ideal to have in game challenges that a player can’t access from a style perspective (unless the goal is to push siptah sales, which I can understand from a business perspective).
You don’t need to play everyday to reach max level in less than a month.
Just go in SP, spawn 10+ crafting benches and q craft some items.
It may take some time for set-up but once tou got it you can just log in, afk for 5 minutes, get daily cap and log out.
It’s extremely easy system and there’s no need to buy any levels.
I honestly think chasing the Challenges is going to take you more time than doing the regular experience. I completed the battlepass with literally less than an hour and a half total played over a period of a week.
You have at least two hours a week to play, yes? That’s week, not per day.
I’m not saying this is the wrong way to do it. But that is a tad bit overkill.
It is overkill but by their own words they don’t have much time for BP farm.
My purposed method will take same time to max out daily bp it takes them to open forums, read and complain about lack of time to farm bp.
Hey!
My bad! When I give title name to this it didn’t not offered your “suggestion” up so that’s why I made this tbh. Good to see btw!
Usually peoples that don’t have much time while they travel they have a chance to read news/forums things like that. I do too. So it is just hilarious that you say that.
I loved the old system because if I wanted to grind the BP then I just focused on challenges, if I had challenges that I cannot complete or takes more time then I had a chance to just reroll and do others. 100 normal enemy 1 level in the new battle pass, not bad but I am just not gonna kill that many enemy in 1 session in 1 day. The new system not bad but why you remove an option/chance from the players? Why you want to tie their hands? Probably to make them pay you money so they can do the Battle Pass in less time. But I’m not going to pay a cent either, that’s for sure.
Killing npcs is one of the least effective methods to lvl up BP, I just don’t get how ppl like you can’t comprehend such a simple system like current BP.
You don’t need to buy amy levels because it’ll take you only 6-7 short play sessions to lvl it up. A week of easy, almost afk play style.
Just take basic resources and craft shield frames. No need to kill 100 enemies if you don’t feel like it.
Challenges are boosters, not hard requirement.
They didn’t mention travelling or anything close to it.
Even 1 play session a week can yield almost 1/4 of bp progression bar via daily+ weekly xp.
Its even faster if you turn up the crafting speed.
The problem is, I play Single-Player. If I used SP to cheat my way through the Battle Pass, I would also cheat through my actual gameplay, which would devalue the things I achieve via honest play.
You can achieve the same results via craft of healing items like feasts, aloe etc.
If you actually play your sp game and farm/kill etc. You should have enough mats for several sessions of afk xp gain via craft.
New system is extremely easy to level in short periods of time even without SP cheating.
I agree. I harvested one rock and one tree to see what exp I get and they were 1 exp each. So I have to harvest 1000 to get to the next level. I killed a couple dozen random type enemies and only got around 200 exp. The new battle pass is garbage.
I like challenges that’s why we not gonna cheat the battle pass. I am with you!
Agreed.
